Audi has problems. I’ve already decided on another car. But I was interested in the rs6. I let my salesman know (current s5 owner). I filled out audi’s I’m interested in rs6 form, email and phone number etc... To this day I’ve never heard a thing from anybody. I’m standing here with cash and a lease ready to expire. NOTHING... My s5 is a piece of shit btw. Thank god it’s a lease. My m4 never had the first thing go wrong till I sold at 50,000 miles.

I do like the looks of the RS6, but still not a fan of the all touch interior (with black plastic everywhere), the MLB platform with the engine too far forward, as well as the lack of character Audi's tend to have, not to mention their biggest advantage AWD, is no longer special in this class of car.
With MB updating the E63S and making it more comfortable and no longer as stiff as the pre-refresh was, I'd take the E63S over the RS6 despite not being as beautiful, although I am a bit biased

But I would sell the wifey's X5 M50i in a heartbeat for this beast, if only Audi were anywhere near as aggressive in pricing as BMW

A high performance station wagon...might as well put a Hemi in a Dodge Caravan and brag about it in the daycare pickup line.

Besides, Dodge already did that with their Magnum, but apparently you missed that news, and who wouldn't, just look at it!

Sedan handling, ride height and SUV practicality all in one package, as well as (at least in the modern world) having a vehicle that most people don't have due to the rarity of wagons.
Why suffer suffer from more body roll, a larger curb weight, as well as a higher ride height and worse suspension of a GLE 63 when you could get an E63 Wagon which will offer very similar amounts of practicality, as well as handling characteristics that mimic that of the normal E63 sedan for the same price, and hold your value better over the years.

SUVs took their practicality from station wagons and lifted it up a few inches higher. Putting a ski box on an SUV is even more difficult than on a wagon due go the ride height. Unless you really need a seven-seater, or go overlanding, I don't see the crossover&SUV hype. But then again, I am a stubborn European where the crossover craze has unfortunately already taken over.

In a SUV you have to accept more body roll, the center of gravity sits much higher. If you want a handling which is comparable to a station wagon the SUV needs an extremly stiff suspension. An even then ist doesn‘t work completly.

Not a good start at all. I have got a „check engine“ light since delivery . The fuel pump is out of specification. The spare part reported the same problem. Then we had a complete lock down because of f***ing corona in germany. In about three weeks I get another fuel pump. I hope that this will sort things out. If not I’ll try to lemon it. It‘s a great car except these issues.

Oh no! However: these problems should be sorted out until delivery in your country .
What I can say: the car handles great because of active rear wheel steering. You have the impression that the car is more than 3 feet shorter. It handles great and you really don‘t feel the weight. Anyway: We‘ll see if they can sort this problem out. Still happy with your CS or plans for a new car ?

If it makes you feel better, I had an e89 z435 that was in the shop for 18+ times in 36 months for various fueling and roof and other niggles. It might just be part of the “low volume car” experience. Hope you can celebrate with some Ring tourist laps soon |
