I'm curious, those of you who have the crease, do you also have the PDC?

I just checked about a dozen good quality photos from ED delivery of my June 18 2018 production F80 under all sorts of lighting and I cannot see anything. I'm also very picky and have not noticed in person. Either it's not there or it is so crazy subtle that I am not worrying about it.

I can't check in person now because I have a bad injury that doesn't allow me to walk to where the car is for a few weeks.

The reason for that line is they must have had a mold repair that makes the bumper and now there is a witness line there
That makes a lot of sense. I was going to ask op if he thought that might be PPF, but he said he can't feel it with his finger.
Could it be plastic wrap from factory while in transit? Once removed maybe it is less susceptible to grabbing dust? Though I would think the opposite would be true.

Don't see anything on mine. Feb 2018 production.
My car has PDC. So could be mid-year '18 production change?

Creases are not because of faulty molds... it's because racecar, similar to below

I recently purchased a 2018 and previously owned a 2015 and 2016. I’m pretty disappointed with the cost reduction efforts BMW has made over this period. The ‘18 is by far the worst of the three I’ve had. First the creaky windows....now the crease! Didn’t they get rid of the carbon fiber driveshaft too? Still like it overall, wireless CarPlay and free Imola paint have helped.

I can see the dent or crease. You think it's a paint drip from factory
