How much did you mod your leased car?

Mine already came with gloss black front kidney grilles... But i had to change the side pieces from chrome. I thinke They used to allow MP parts amortized into lease... But i guess they stopped doing that.

No - I've asked them to add the front aero and rear diffuser at the port, and it's all built in to my lease.

I think he means for ED. I had MPE and black grills built into my lease too but I didn't do ED.

Weird - my CA was planning to add those parts at the port after I returned from my ED when I was originally going to do that.

- Painted matched grille surrounds
- Mode Carbon rear spoilers
- Side markers

I will be ordering in the upcoming week:
- Spacers
- BMS Intakes

Future:
- Wheels

That's about it hopefully lol

Similar thread in B8 S4 section of Audizine. Even with a CPO car there is really no way to know if the previous owner had a tune or other mods and then returned to stock before returning. I don't think this is unique to BMW.

I've always been skeptical of ECU tuning a lease. Cosmetic things are one thing but ECUs are reason for BMW to void the warranty. I know a lot of folks say you can put them on and take them off before dealership visits, but I know for a fact that the service dept computers can get a "history" from the onboard diagnostics to determine whether or not there's been a tune. A voided warranty can be a bad thing come lease-turn-in time (or outright sale).

It actually got denied since it's an ED lease. Would have to be a regular lease to get the m-performance things added.

I have never had a dealer care (just better have tires that have some tread). Also if it is white/black/grey they have always let me do a lot when I ask up front. I have lowered and tuned two leases for example.

With the F80 it is so good out of the box all I did was MPE, tint, spacers, front grilles, valve controller.
