E-Sys Question on Werte values

Just getting started tinkering with coding, and ran into my first problem when trying to enable Euro LED headlights.

In E-Sys, after I VO coded FEM_BODY and the other modules, I went back to add the additional FDL codes in FEM_BODY, and the drop down options in E-SYS don't match what I'm supposed to add in - I didn't have F030_F32/F33/F36/F80/F82/F83_LED_ECE under any of the 5 values in FEM_BODY (LUT_AFS_CODRV_VERT, LUT_HBA_DRV_VERT, LUT_HBA_CODRV_VERT, etc.). I had some strange ones for asia and other things things.

My question - if I were to code in the Werte values by hand (00 00 00 15 00 00 0A 15 1F, for example) - would that get the same effect as the drop-down menus?

For example - I noticed that when selecting "aktiv", the Werte value would be a 00 or 01, then when changing it to nicht_aktiv, the Werte value would change as well. Is there a direct correlation between the two?

Hopefully this hasn't been answered already - I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Any help is much appreciated!

All the predefined drop-down values have corresponding werte values. If you enter werte values without one, you will see UNKNOWN listed. FYI: 01 is not always aktiv for various FDL's.

Thanks for asking this, I've had the same issue. I did everything that the PDF guide said, but like you, some of the names weren't the same. When I would input my own werte values, the name never changed to "UNKNOWN"...

I was hoping since the werte values were correct that it would still work, but when I tested them they did not... ended up just blinding people with the lights. I've given up at this point. Tried the "cheat codes" as well, but that didn't work either.

Hopefully someone can answer this since I would love to code the lights properly. Everything else I've coded has worked great, just can't get these darn lights to work!

This. You always change either the predefined drop down if the correct one is there, or you change the werte value and ignore the drop down menu. Don't touch both.

Perfect - this is exactly what I was looking for! Will go out and give it a shot this week now and see how it goes.

What can I do, if I have an "Unknown" entry? (My e-sys only shows me dots because of trimmed NCD and the aktiv/ nicht_aktiv drop downs are missing.)
Thanks!

You need CAFD Mapping solution such as BimmerUtility.

"new psdzdata" requires CAFD Mapping solution no matter what E-Sys version is used.
