I'd rather buy M2 competition with three pedals. You can't change the wheelbase so..

If that's any incentive, I took delivery of my M4cs last week and couldn't be happier .

Thanks, it's really astounding that a steering wheel on the wrong side leads to such a huge discount...

So go for it!

Need some detailed track reviews and comparisons to your previous M4!! (Stock to stock - similarly modified, etc.).

Nothing to do with budget at this price range and target audience (streetable weekend track toy). My only intention is to offer alternatives rather than saying the obvious "buy it!" I really think OP should keep the M4 Comp if he considers daily driving the car at all... practicality is what made the original M3 CSL great in the first place. For me, M2 comp is better choice as I enjoy short wheelbase cars; If BMW offers Z4M coupe with a proper M engine, that'd be the first on my list.

Since you brought budget to the discussion I'd also say this: if you plan to track the car at all you would naturally want larger wheels, tyres, bucket seats, exhaust, coilovers, etc... which still wouldn't cost 20 grand unless you go GT3 on it. I'm not convinced how a "slightly tuned S55" with stripped doors, some carbon goodies make up for the nearly 30K difference. Maybe the CFRP driveshaft?

I was thinking the same thing. Hell you already have the ZCP.. Get a tune, GTS hood, and exhaust and that is still under the 20-30k hike in price. But to each there own.

This is a car forum - most here would never think someone mental for getting something newer/faster. I sure wouldn't.

Now, if your F80 has a 6MT, that would be mental.

There is nothing wrong the M4CS has been a bit of flop sales wise in the UK (that's not a statement about the car being no good I think it's awesome but 90-100k is too much for an M4 in the UK) there are plenty of demos sat around taking up space at the dealers, I know of some changing hands for 」60k in the trade.

I friend was offer one with 800 miles for 62k (everything but the CCB on it) for that money it's a steal IMHO.

Forget what the euro conversion is that's irrelevant.

You Havnt done your homework

Why would you want bigger wheels than 19 front and 20 on the rears, they come shod in Cup 2 tyres in UK.
You don't need coilovers with the CS as the retuned suspension is just about perfect.
If you specced a CP to same specification as the CS the difference would be around 5k and not this 30k nonsense that people seem to think .I suggest you look at the spec sheet of the CS and see what comes as standard options .
Incidentally the CSL was a crap DD when released in the U.K. , why do you think that was.

Which one was your friend offered? I致e struggled to get anything off an AUC one, maybe 」500 off a 」69k car...

Currently trying to sort a deal on a new showroom car, loaded inc CCB痴 so it痴 on 0% currently, but I知 still aware of how much it痴 going to drop literally overnight.
The salesman actually mentioned they壇 had it in the showroom 7 weeks, and I was the first person to actually show interest in it, which is concerning....

My friend is in the trade so it wasn't a retail offer, he passed on it but would have retailed for 66k, not sure where the car is now.

Ah I see, I知 maybe overthinking it all now but I知 trying to assess how the values of these will play out over the next 3 years or so, with the glut of cars at ~」70k and not moving, is it financial suicide to consider a new one at 」80k?

As much as I love it half of me thinks I should remain sensible and keep my Fire Orange full term...

I値l push them this morning for a super mega price and if not I値l leave it for now...

If you're willing to wait, even if you should decide to get the M4CS, it'll certainly drop significantly once the new G80's arrive.

I'd suggest waiting for the new models, which should be a much greater change and improvement, both inside and out, over what you've already had, but as others have said, it's your decision!

(Your first mistake..... "walked into a BMW dealership.....")

Yes a new one at 80k is mental in the current market but one at mid 60s without ccb would be a good buy they have taken their bath at that price.
