As promised, covers for the control arm ducts for those who want to leave them on for winter driving. Holes in the center of the cover to secure the cover onto the duct with a zip tie, the cover itself will fit snug but the zip tie is for 100% secure fit. Relief cuts for easier removal. 30$/Pair.

"Enlargers" for the ducts for increased air flow, guides on the back side for a snug fit and 100" secured with the same zip ties as the control arm ducts. 50$/Pair.

Great work here and supporting the community. Just to confirm this can be made with 2” hoses? Also can you post pictures with a wheel mounted raised and on the ground?

They can be made in 2" as well, I have them on my M2 and they have survived for over 2 years including 2 trips to the Nürburgring and plenty of curb and carousel riding. I can't find any pictures with the wheel mounted and on the ground. I run 18x10" ET 28 up front and it works fine with the 2", the 2,5" rub slightly in the lower back corner.

Some closeup pictures of what kind of finish to be expected (good or bad is up to the beholder). Overall I think the finish of the duct is very good, the rough parts are a result of the use of support which is a must to print the ducts the way they will be the strongest. But the rough parts won't be seen anyway and won't reduce the function. Printed in Bambu Lab PETG.

The re-designed air guides printed in Bambu Lab PETG.

2,5" funnel for the backing plate printed in Bambu Lab PETG. I've put a lot of time into getting a nice and even finish on these, even if no one will ever see then after they are installed.

2" funnels printed with my last roll of HD Glass (won't use it again when the roll is empty) and I haven't gotten to the level of finish I have with the Bambu Lab PETG but I'm getting there. Nothing wrong with the function though.

The new addons, the enlarger and the cover. Will make a slight improvement on the cover as it didn't sit as snug as I wanted even if the zip tie would hold it in place nontheless.

Install notes comes when purchasing, installing is not hard at all. Everything except hose and hose clamp is incuded in the kit (all metal parts are painted as well) and it works with 18". However addons such as meshes, covers and enlargers cost extra.

Been a while since someone wanted buyers protection via PayPal, apparently PayPal rides on the inflation wave as well. They charge 5.5% for buyers protection now, changed the first page with the new fee.

I've finally come around to scanning both front and rear axle of the F8X M chassis. I had a complete rear axle laying around for my Z3 Coupe project which made it a lot easier to scan. Would have been a nightmare to do it on the M2. The backing plates were a little rough so I had to make one of them as straight as I could.

My priority will be on making a product for the rear axle which mounts using the ABS bolt and an additional location, no modification will be needed excapt cutting a window in the backing plate for the air flow.

As for the front sometime next year there might be a product similar to the BMW M2 Cup cars use.

The ducts for the rear backing plates are done, the intakes for the rear lower control arms are up next.

The control arm bolt sticks out 8,5 mm with the nut fully torqued. The ducts mounting adds 2 mm and a washer 1,5 mm, so there will be 4,5-5 mm thread left which is enough to hold a duct in plastic. I will add a low nut in the kit and if you tighten the nut with a dab of thread lock it will stay in place. This way you don't have to remove the control arm nut and get the toe alignment out of order.

The design for the rear brake cooling is now done, I'll print one side and testfit to confirm everything works as intended.

The rear brake cooling kit is finished and fitted to my M2, fitted just like I wanted it to. I re-designed the duct for the backing plate to make it more printer friendly and sturdy. The duct for the control arm got through koles instead of holes made for sheet metal screws. Now there will be stainless hardware just like the backing plates up front.

The price for a rear kit is 250$ but if you have purchased, or purchase, a front kit from me you will get a 50$ discount. The rear kit includes ducts for the control arms and meshes, ducts for the backing plates, hose holders for the control arms and as per usual bolts (for the ABS-sensor), nuts (low fine pitched M12s for the control arm bolts), washers (extra wide for both the ABS-sensor and control arm) and zip ties. No hose or hose clamps are included.

Pictures of one of the sides.

Here you can see the mesh fastened with sheet metal screws, but this will be replaced with through holes and stainless hardware.

The hose holders are side specific to fit the chamfer of the BMW original control arm to allow for enough clearance to the spring. If anyone is runing different arms please let me know and I will make custom hose holders if needed.

A couple of pictures of the duct for the backing plate, because of the advanced angle/shape of the arm going to the ABS-sensor bolt I got some cosmetic defects. Structurally it's more than up to the task, it's almost solid. I will try some different settings to combat this, but I can't make any promises that I can fix it completely.

A small window will have to be cut in the backing plate, I eye balled the hole on my car so it isn't perfect. A 3D-printed template will be included in the kit for precise marking before cutting. My Dremel was useless so I had to resort to the angle grinder (which I f*cked up ) and cleaned it up with an air drill with a metal burr bit. I highly recommend the air drill because it allows you to be precise and it eats through the aluminium very fast. De-burr the edges with a utility knife or specific tool.

15-20 mm of clearance to the sway bar end link.

Just a temporary nut, didn't have any other fine pitched M12s in the garage nor did I have the right washer. I have ordered all the hardware which will arrive during next week.

100-120 mm of clearance everywhere between the control arm duct and the Milltek exhaust on my M2.

About 15 mm of clearance to the spring.

18 mm of clearance between the hose and barrel with a 19" BMW Original wheel mounted, which will give aprox. 5 mm of clearance with an 18" wheel (depending on design of course).
