Really? I test drove a 435i coupe and thought it was pretty decent and assumed the GC would be just as fun. Obviously its performance still can't compare to the M3/4's but it's good enough for the majority of the general public. She initially wanted to get a M4 but since we are having a kid next year, a coupe seems too much trouble. She doesn't want a M3 either because it's not really appealing to her, so that leaves 435i GC as the next attractive 4-door car.

Try talking her into the M3, but the coupe works brilliantly with kids too, you'll end up buying one of those car seats with an anchor anyway so you're good to go.

*make sure the hobbies stay close to the duties. Us women go insane after a baby anyway but for us to have a release that won't take away time from the family is a must. I go for milk runs, glorified grocery shopping, but because I have a good stereo and a great car, the few minutes of peace goes a long way.

* when she drives through the garage door because she's tired, stfu and just state you've always wanted a bigger door.

*stfu. Every fight is always your fault anyway, accept it and you might have a chance for an other kid.

*if she kills you, it's your own fault for ignoring the first rule. Make sure she gets out for an hour per day all on her own.

* don't buy her a car in ay. Cops tend to fuck with the milk runs.

We're in about the same boat my friend. I too have a YMB F80, my wife has an F30, and when done with her car, I'm getting her a 4 GC as I think as freaking sexy looking car while service the 4 door needs for our 2 year boy.

Thanks for the wise words. I showed your post to my wife and lo-n-behold she stared at me and said I have to listen to Lups.

We'd stick with the 435i GC for now and move her into a M4 when the kid gets a bit older and can get into and out of the her on his/her own. She *really* does not want a M3 lol... and I've tried to convince her for the last 3 months.

Yes I agree. When the 4 first came out I wasn't too keen on the look because I was so used to the 3 series, but now it's really grown on me and thank god BMW made a GC version because my wife really likes the coupe look and wants four doors.

I've let her drive the M4 a few times. The kids have been in it too, but no food allowed, no drinks, and no shoes (full leather covers the backs of the seats).
