513m wheel color

Hi,

Does anyone know the color of the 513m wheel? I need some touch up paint to fix a curb rash. I heard ferric gray but ferric gray looks lighter from the pics I've seen online.

Thanks

I think they really are Ferric Gray. They're definitely not Orbit Gray. 437M definitely are Ferric Gray as that's what it says in ETK, I think it's just optical illusion that they seem darker than Ferric 437s, for example. Ferric is a colour used on many other M Sport wheels.

Thanks. I searched a bit more and people who have tried ferric gray said it didn't match. There is a paint code B55 which some claim to match but I havent heard anyone who has tried it confirm it.

Oh, right then. Give your local BMW parts dept. a ring and see what they say. I'm curious to know as well.

Have a similar need. B55 (or WB55) seems to be called Ferric Grey II. So perhaps it's a different shade of the original Ferric Grey? Anyone try B55 yet?

I literally PMed two people who have said they tried this and I couldn't get a picture out of them LOL. I am curious to see how this even matches or comes close.

I am still researching on the best place to get the B55 paint. Not sure if I should go through BMW dealer and pay over priced paint, eBay, or some other vendor.

I contacted DrColorChip and straight up told me “We are unlikely to match that finish”.

Amazon doesn’t seem to carry this paint either. eBay searches are coming from overseas??

I wonder if this would help in figuring out the color.
