GTS/CS replica hood experiences

I am thinking about getting a GTS/CS replica hood. I prefer the aluminum replicas I have seen floating around.

Owners please chime in:
Anyone have any good experiences/recommendations?

Who did you buy from? How was the fitment?

Got one a few weeks ago from my friend Kevin at ABS Auto Body in El Monte, CA. Fitment i would say 9.2/10. Only real issue is that there is a small gap on the left and ride side of the GRILL. Not sure if it's because i had the grill painted, so it won't sit flush. Or if it's because it's not the OE grill. Either way, i'm very happy with it. If you need his contact info, let me know.

Suvneer makes decent aluminum hoods. I would say the one I received has 9.5/10 fitment but they all seem to come with small imperfections (dings and dents) that need to be corrected by the body shop before paint. Comes with the vent as well.

I’m also interested in the aluminum ones I’ve been seeing around. You guys any got pictures of the fitment, from multiple angles? Also, about how much did you guys end up paying the body shop for painting?

Body shop ended up charging 1200 CAD to correct the dings and paint. Here’s some photos I have in my camera roll, if you want a specific angle let me know I can take one for you.

Thanks for the pics.

I will check out the Suvneer. I assume most of the replicas are all being sourced from 1 or 2 manufacturers. I could be wrong though.

This was before full alignment. It’s corrected now. Even the other picture was before full alignment. It doesn’t sit 100% flush but it’s close enough for me.

Yeah, thanks for the pics! Much appreciated. That fitment would bug me as well, but I feel like it could be corrected Or at least improved a bit by adjusting the front bumper ends to sit a bit closer? Or, having the middle sit further to even the line. Also curious how it ended up. You got a final photo from the front angle like the last one?

I’ll take some photos of it this week for you guys. It’s almost not noticeable after adjusting it.

This is the aluminum one correct? What do you guys do for the underside? Does the shop paint and clear it the same color as the top side? Or do some opt for black underside for lighter color vehicles?

Does it come primed in black or something? Did your shop clear the bottom or didn’t even touch it?

I actually ended up buying from Suvneer as well.

It is currently at the shop and I will post some pics when I get it back and installed.

It comes coated with some type of black primer/coating. The shipping was via truck on a pallet and I feel they did a good job protecting it from any damage.

I got one of the aluminum ones from Suvneer. Fitment wasn't great (6/10) and the hood arrived damaged. Great customer service though, they took it back and refunded w/out any issues.

IMO the GTS hoods should always be CF whether oem or aftermarket
