Bmw m3 f80 faint beep noise

Hey guys ..few days ago I notice a weird noise not knowing where it comes from and its really annoying also never stop so Im wondering if anyone of you had the same issue

That's not a beep It's just a constant high frequency whine and i too would find it annoying. Not normal.

Very annoying . Just dropped it off at the dealer today

My Jeep would do that after turning off the car. It sounds to me like interference from the iDrive, the Jeep had the latest UConnect system. Does it sound like it is coming from the dashboard or from the speakers?

I feel like I noticed this after I got BM3 and some upgrades. Keep us posted what the dealer says. I'd be very interested.

I have the same tune and DP and actually this started happening right after I installed DP plus I have a MPE so when I heard the car on the lift the noise comes from the cats

I don't have secondaries, got rid of them soon after purchase, so I have never heard the noise.

I thought it was something involving the shop taking the ECU stuff out to perform the BM3 install. Did the dealer get back to you at all? Guess I gotta go full cat less lol

Dealer said that the noise comes from the exhaust secondary cats and this started right after the catless dp I installed

So adding a larger downpipe makes the 2nd cat put off a high pitch whine? Thats weird. Guess thats why we pay engineers to figure this shit out from the factory lol. SOMEONE SELL ME THEIR AKRAPOVIC EVO! (for cheap plz) =)
