Price check- opinions needed
Hi all,
I am looking at an F80 M3 and would like to get everyone's opinion on the price, whether you feel it is market value or too high. Here are the specs: 2018 F80 M3 DCT 42k miles, Mineral White on Full Sakhir Orange interior, comp, executive, cold weather, CF roof. No driver assistance package or Blind spot alert. PPI shows car is super clean. Clean title and carfax, no accidents. Full front end PPF. I would be owner 5 but I have seen the car in person and it's in excellent condition. Pretty common for M cars to have multiple owners so that doesn't bother me much. Price is $51k. What do you guys think? Is this a good deal or should I pass? I was also trying to assess the market to see what it would be worth about 8-12 months from now assuming I'm at 50k miles by then? Thank you all for your insights and opinions. I just went thought this exercise and I think you're within $3-4K of the low end for that car. Condition is everything and if it truly has no prior accident repairs and stuff like drivers seat bolster isn't worn, CF roof isn't delamination, rims don't show curbing, and tires are 80% or better, stuff like that, the price is fair. IMHO.

IMO, an ‘18 f80C with 42k miles and five owners has too many owners in my book. MW/SO is a nice color combination. I have an e92 M3 in MW and the changes in color based on viewing angle and lighting makes MW a nice dynamic color. I ordered my f82 without any of the driver aids and I’m glad I did. Our ‘20 g20 330ix M sport has them and I personally do not like them except for the blind sport detection. The large B pillar does create a blind spot depending on where you have the seat adjusted. Overall it’s nicely optioned but, IMO, its price is ~8-10% too high.
What are the conditions of the brakes and tread depth (and manufacturing date)? How the driver’s side seat bolster look like? Leather and steering wheel finished matte or shiny? Dash leather condition? The leather dash has a tendency to bubble up with excessive exposure to sunlight and must have a matte finish. Have the spark plugs been changed yet? All of these would have to be in great condition (side bolsters), matte finishes and/or recently replaced (e.g., brakes and tires) to justify the higher price ~$47k. Worn brakes and/or tires, work bolsters and shiny leather then I’d offer ~$45-46k. |
