2018 M4 Paddle Shifters Intermittently not working
Hello everyone,
I have a 2018 M4 and my paddle shifters suddenly don’t work anymore. Pressing upshift/downshift does nothing, and happens intermittently. I went to an independent shop and they found this code, *8044B0 SHIFT PADDLES SHORT CIRCUIT TO BATTERY (+), POSSIBLE CLOCK SPRING CIRCUIT INTERNAL SHORT* Anyone else have this issue? Any possible fixes? |

Negative…. It did not. Did more searching on the boards and this has happened to a few others. The fix was replacing this.

So I got a shop to check it out and they found that the previous had owner had installed an aftermarket steering wheel and when they put back the OEM wheel, the wiring werent routed properly, and some were pinched causing a short. My shop rerouted the wiring and this fixed it. |
