I just finished installing on a 2018 F83 LCI. The lights needed NO modifications or cutting. I made sure to match the screw setting position
of the OEM outboard light's adjustable mounting points to the new lights. I also used the OEM mounting brackets for the inboard trunk lights. No fitment issues or added spacers and they look great. Since I was LCI, I removed the resistors and did not need to run the wire from the outboard to inboard lights. Hope this helps. Picture of the adjustable mounting points. For those who dont want sequential turn signal.
I found this online, it says Vland with on/off switch. Not sure if it's real. |

If you don't connect the wire between the fender and the trunk lights the turn signal indicator won't light up on the trunk. So you'll miss half of the sequential turn signals and it will look like the fender portion is just flashing. |

I recently changed mine to the regular BMW look (no sweep) and took a video to check the difference. https://youtu.be/QteeKK-z33M I also compared the OEM LCI outer tail with the VLAND F82 version. Wouldn't be surprised if the quality and intensity of LEDs used in the VLAND product are not to the same level as the OEM. But, I think another issue with the lack of brightness with the aftermarket lights stems from the difference in plastic used for the VLAND product. The comparison was more apparent in person, but the VLAND outer shell is definitely a darker tint and shade of red than the OEM.

Here are some installed pics. I think the smoked lights look better on darker color cars and the red ones are better on light color cars. White + red looks amazing and I love the smoked lights on my Grigio Telesto.

I was torn between the smoked and red version - Pretty happy with the red.

Thank you. I had to cut the foam a bit on the inner lights since I felt like these stuck out more than the OEM lights. I also didn't know the outer lights were adjustable so I just used some small rubber o-rings as spacers and it worked out ok. With those two minor adjustments I was able to get the fitment close to the stock lights. There is still a very small offset where the inner lights stick out a bit more but I was fine with it. You can't really tell unless you know about it and look at it really close from the side.
Other people have mentioned they didn't have to cut the foam at all and were able to line up the lights but perhaps there are also just minor differences in fitment between different batches. I would probably try to install as is to see how you like the fitment first before making any modifications. The red looks amazing on your car too. Would not have gone wrong either way. |

With the correct angles and exposure, these tail lights are jaw droppers

Not all. You would be surprised to see these small mom and pop factories producing these lights. Make sure you buy the VLAND ones. Only ones that have DOT certification.

Too bad that they have no EU spec to install legal at our cars. The ones which are installable with the correct numbers are way more expensive.
