F80 selector rod length?

Anyone know how long the OEM selector rod is? Can’t find measurements anywhere. Thx

Part number 8 which isn’t what it actually looks like interestingly. It’s more of a S shape

From what I’m seeing, the part number ending in 4598 is the “S” shape, and the part number you are showing ending in 4597 is the “L” shape. Can’t find anything on dimensions yet, any reason you need the dimensions? Are you DCT or MT?

Gotcha, the “S” shape is for MT and the “L” shape is for DCT. Which do you need? Still looking, I’ll let you know if I find anything.

Pretty confident that DCT shifting is done electronically, not via a selector rod. But I drive a 6MT

The part number you shared says “for vehicles with M double clutch transmission with DriveLogic” I referenced that part number and checked the 6MT part number (25112284598): https://parts.bmwofstratham.com/a/BM...n/25_0572.html

Unfortunately nothing has dimensions.. are you able to use the one you have for reference?

Oh, the part number isn’t included in my screenshot, sorry. But also, see this screenshot, and notice the “NO” in the 2nd column, that means it’s NOT for the DCT, pretty confident on that one too but hell I could be wrong.

Trying to get the welding done to the new DSSR before I go to install it myself this weekend. Shop and welder are not exactly close to one another

No probs, by no means was I saying you were wrong 😂 just trying to understand better. I haven’t found any dimensions. For fabrication I always had a reference part or the very least dimensions. I can’t think of another way than using your original one for reference 🤔
