Vacuum Line to J-pipe Part Number

Does anyone happen to know the part number for the vacuum line that connects to the J-pipe. Cracked the connection on mine and can’t get it to hold/now have a leak.

Thanks

It's realoem.com

Enter catalog, then punch in last 7 of VIN in the serial number field

That diagram was in the Fuel Preparation System master category

Awesome. I knew I was missing a site when I was searching for the part. Couldn’t remember realoem for some reason. Thank you both!

.... and in this game, $75 for another tube/plastic clip is a relative steal!

Haha yep. Cracked the retaining clip on one side. Tried to hose clamp it and took it for a test drive. That worked until I actually got on it and it popped off immediately. Had a cool sound to it though lol.

Out of all the work I did (valvecover, spark plugs, TMIC, J-pipe), I’ll take that broken clip over something worse. I try to work slowly/carefully to avoid issues.

The only annoying/funny part is that hose is held on by 3 of those same clips so I had to disconnect 2 more to replace the part. So I had to not be dumb and crack those accidentally too.

lol I ordered all 3 hoses anticipating I’d probably crack at least one more 😂

All that plastic plumbing gets super brittle pretty quickly…I’m going to replace all those lines with AN fittings and woven lines at some point this summer. Just a thought

That’s smart. I’ve removed my intake so many times and never had a issue with that clip before. I think it was just the angle/impatience on my part. If I have to do the J-pipe again I’ll probably preemptively order another one lol.

I think the AN fittings look sweet too, especially with either stainless steel woven lines or black nylon/whatever-it-is woven coatings.

Plus longevity of the stainless vs plastic oem. (I live in boston and 95 degrees in the summer to 10-20 degrees + road salt in the winter FUCKS plastic up and turns it into peanut brittle after a short while).

Plus the ability to add quick disconnects if desired for easy on off when servicing etc

Plus being able to have cool anodized AN female ends.

Plus getting some piece of mind that shit won’t break.

It’s used in various places throughout the engine bay and a few other places. It’s a “high pressure” air or coolant line “quick connect” but IMO the design is flawed but I broke it so naturally I’m gonna say that 😂

I saw the AN comment right after I posted but that sounds good as well, especially if you’re having issues with the plastic itself. I broke mine right at one of the retaining clip points. The other clip broke when it blew off during my test drive. The plastic itself was in good shape overall though, including the other clips.

Be sure to post up the lines if you end up going that route. Sounds interesting for sure.
