I was probably 1/2 mile away and when the dozer stopped the driver shot through the windshield at the same time dirt shot up in a horizontal line for about 100 yards in front of the dozer ... followed by a BOOOOMMMMMaaaAANNNNNGGGGGG! I ran over and the driver was mostly dazed and shooken up as he'd gone through shoulder first totally clean and the ground was sandy dredge that'd been piled up over 20 years ( minn19: Connors pointe, just across from canal park in Duluth). The operator went to the hospital of course and had a super bruised shoulder, but otherwise he was fine. It happened on a Thursday and he was back on Monday. Turned out the dozer hit a buried railroad track square, and where it hit looked pretty similar to what you're showing. We rented a new dozer. |

You can severe a head from the torso, but then you will be served with a ton of time in a jail. Right?

My concern as a conservative:
Here's what I think conservative means, belief that: * Well-regulated free markets (and free trade) are the foundation of global peace and prosperity (I don't just believe that, we have 75 years of data proving it) * An aggressive, liberal foreign policy is vital to national security; great diplomatic relationships globally based on daily in-person communication are key to preventing aggression and wars * A strong military standing behind our diplomats. If relationships aren't possible, replace them with force * Strong States-rights that create a marketplace of governance ideas - includes gun rights, abortion, etc * Federal infrastructure to enable free markets: includes roads, bridges, power, and communication as well as education (k-c4), healthcare, retirement Here's what's happening and my worry:
This means more conservatives will retire, and Democrats are going to win in Nov. And that's going to be horrible, because they are the party of overreaching big government and wealth destruction. |

No actually your real boy, this one is a genuinely good guy, but we find ourselves on opposite ends often times. He never reallly wants to actually discuss things either etc.

I kind of love how he justifies his views, and I admire his religiousness but I see no Jesus in his views.

The self-delusion of Trumpers is breathtaking ... "works his ass off"??? they literally have to give Trump the daily security brief in pictures because he's barely literate. the guy spends 90% of his day watching fox news and tweeting and that's according to his own staff! where do they get these ideas?? they're like flat-earthers |

Okay, I manned up and made a bid on the house.
I have to give myself credit for all this stalling but my adopted sister promised me her new boyfriend is a horrible driver and he can accidentally run over a ton of my extra stuff.

FWIW, we're battening down the financial hatches by getting rid of anything that's illiquid and/or vulnerable to short-term risk. Markets are very closely mirroring 1987 ... not to mention if you're a believer in "fourth turn" generational/economic cycle theory which states that we're in the middle of the "fourth turn crisis" which will result in major economic recession / depression. I'm a believer as the trending cycles trace back into the 1500s, which is about as far back as the data can take us. But ignoring all that, it's looking a lot like 1987, so get some pastels, turn up your collar, and jam to The Cure! |
