MPE/Akra/Eisenmann

Difficult to decide. I am between the three Systems and at the Moment i am on the way to order MPE.

What i dont unterstand is that the MPE seems to be the loudest one but akra and Eisenmann(evo/incl Midpipe) are complete catback Systems.

Normally they should be louder than the MPE?!

Problem is that i ve heard no System in real live just the vids shown here. So if anybody has heard the Systems in real live what`s your opinion?

Regards

Jan

FYI, the MPE on the F8X is also a full catback system, as opposed to other MPEs that are only rear sections. It replaces the center resonator with an H-pipe. When the valves are open, it is essentially a straight pipe system .

but it does require cutting, right? it doesn't bolt on to the downpipes?

FWIW the MPE is my favorite from hearing vids, but I haven't heard any of these in person

There are the secondary cats downstream of the downpipes, so yes, the MPE requires cutting just after the secondary cats.

I was talking to a vendor last month who said they will eventually release a pipe to connect the MPE to the stock downpipes. All of these systems seem like a huge waste of money as they don't really provide power unless you do DP. I would go MPE if these were the choices. Really I would just go downpipes, resonators in place of stock secondaries, and tips. Save yourself 7k.

I've heard akrapovic and MPE in person. Akrapovic is really loud on when you're in the throttle, but the MPE is loud on idle and with slight acceleration and full throttle. They both give those little blip/farts. Sounds good though.

Either exhaust you can't go wrong!

does someone has experience?

At a guess from pictures, It looks like it comes in parts (Center section, Muffler, and whatever tips you order). So I think that if you folded down your seats, yes you could probably throw it in the trunk and lay it over the back seats to fit in the car.

From videos I'd have to say MPE is my favorite.

I have the MPE exhaust and I love it! It really makes the car sound aggressive. One of my co-workers thought the M4 was a V8. :

Yes it does fit.

I brought back my stock exhaust back home after the dealer installed my MPE at delivery. The stock exhaust is even bulkier than the MPE because it is all in one piece. On the MPE, the mid section H-pipe and rear section muffler are two pieces.

I have the Akra EVO on my M4, love it, just haven't had time to do a recording, in sport and sport plus mode valves are open in 1st and 2nd gear and sounds awesome 3rd gear and up you need to put your foot into it and it howls, when you let off, to either slow down or downshift it makes some truly orgasmic sounds at higher revs. Fran

I have heard neither in the real world but if I were you I would go MPE, from vids it has a great sound and it's also the least expensive (I'm sure you can get 15-20% off of it too). Either way you can't go wrong

LOL. Yes. I'm the one who started that thread! So I know. Most of the clips out on the Internet are seriously lacking the inside sound. Everyone wants to take videos of the outside. Truth is I don't want to spend $5-7k for other people's enjoyment! Lol

I think that's the case because the interior sound doesn't change too much. I mean, it does sound louder but not dramatically so. Unless you have windows down of course.
