Yeah thats a way out there number to throw around without supporting evidence. Honestly I don't want to see tampered dunk results. From just full exhaust and intercoolers i'd need to see vbox and 60-130 times as well as some speedo videos

Haven't clicked the link but R34 GT-Rs have made more than 1,000bhp off from 2600cc so anything is possible with mods like bigger turbos etc etc etc. Never been a fan of chasing numbers though.

Intercooler upgrades magically enhance turbocharger flow characteristics. Every (riceboy) knows that.

How is this news? They're just estimating BHP. There have been M3/4s making more power than this car for months now.

Highly doubt they've upgraded the water it air unit itself IF they did modify the "intercooler" they probably modified the radiator for the water to air unit. Which might marginally help actually....

Yeah, that's an engine from the early/mid 90's that easily puts out 800+ rwhp without internal upgrades, and 1000+ (or even higher) with internal upgrades.

So, high hp from the S55 is not at all a surprise.

Although I would guess that the compression in the S55 is higher than the 2JZGTE, for better low rpm drivability.

More interested in the tune, whether it's a piggy, bench flash or OBD-flash. The intercooler "upgrade" is probably just a higher quality, more efficient heat exchanger unit.
