Yep, thats why I prefer not to tune with BM3.

Agree. TBH This issue almost got me to dump bm3 and current custom tune into the trash, and switch to ECUtek Bend Calibration.

It doesn't really matter. The kit is just a couple pieces of metal and 6 rubber boots. Assuming you're using OEM Eldor coils. I dunno how Nexsys fits. My kit fits perfectly and allows me to use engine cover.

The big black one to disconnect the ignition coil harness to remove it all from the engine

The one closest to the firewall which looks like the one shown has a sliding locking tab that needs to be pulled out. I use a 90 degree pick to do it.

The dorch lift kit instructions have a good picture of the connectors if you look there.

I think it would be super helpful to have people who have done this post the following info:

1. Car production date**
2. Which kit they’re using
3. Which coils they’re using
4. Which sparks & the gap they’re set to
5. Tuning platform being used and if they had the tune modified or left as is post install

After talking to someone else who did this successfully on the N54 platform, they told me it was literally hit or miss w a lot of guys doing this mod…some people had no issues, others just couldn’t get it to work at all…

I am just working on getting my car tuned now on MHD but the b58 coil conversion is working great. Idles smoothly and drives great. Used the nexus kit and eldor coils from turner. 97506 plugs gaped at .02. pump 93.

Offers 4x the spark over oem coils (more than the b58 offers), and they’re direct fit…aka no headaches and wondering if it’ll work or not.

Seems like the better solution imo. And they’re under turners lifetime warranty…

I’m gonna buy a set
