You are laughing at the top of the page I sincerely hope you aren't laughing at the last post on the previous page. Not everyone speaks English as their first language... And that the German member just posted that Leib had tuned their M3 shouldn't be something to laugh at??? |

Take it easy Boss. I'm loling at his response after the entire thread basically went nowhere and then this guy just out of nowhere says I just got it tuned thanks! I think it's funny.
Since you want to go there why is it that when someone tries to speak Spanish or a foreign language and everyone gets a chuckle when it comes out funny its ok but when someone does same thing in English everyone slaps the people laughing. Please explain because every culture laughs when someone tries to speak their language and it comes out funny. No need to be politically correct unless there is an inferiority complex going on.

And not sure that your analysis of different cultures and languages are entirely correct. Perhaps that's how it is where you live, but many often make the mistake of assuming that what is observed on a local/regional/national basis also is true on a international scale. For instance, we can laugh or make fun of Norwegians trying to talk in a different language (like English, German or Spanish). But it's not funny if we make fun of a foreigner trying to speak Norwegian (just like how you made fun of the new German member trying to write in YOUR language). At least it's considered impolite to laugh in the face of a foreigner trying to speak Norwegian, unless you know that person well enough to do so. Which is why that really isn't done that often, unless it's a stand up comedian etc that makes fun of a certain way of speaking Norwegian on a general basis. Just like English with an Indian accent also is usually considered quite entertaining. So, what you observe about how English in a different league isn't what other cultures would say. You use your English language culture and feel that you are in a special position that no one else is in. But the exact same thing occurs in a country that has a different language than English as their first language. If you tried posting on a German, Spanish or Norwegian forum. How would you like to have someone native laughing at your attempts to write in their language? And just by using a emoticon. No response or guidance. Just a LOL sign... Political correct or polite? To me it wasn't about being PC, but to welcome a new member that posted about having done a tune with the sign implied either impoliteness or a lack of maturity. The polite thing would be to welcome someone and ask for details. Making this into a thing about how it's supposedly not allowed to make fun of someone writing in English shows insecurity on your part IMO Last edited by Boss330; 10-21-2014 at 04:03 PM.. |

Omg you are a pompous Internet bully you know that. I don't need your scolding about being polite on the internet especially when I explained to you I laughed at the situation. So how's that ECU crack job going Mr. Rogers.

Not really interested in a flash tune, until there are handheld flashers available. I wouldn't want to deal with sending in my ecu or going to the shop every time I needed a flash. I don't see at home flashing coming anytime soon.

Agree that this is preferrable (unless you own a Tuning company and have unlimited access to the workshop to upload files into your DME...) |

And I'm calling bullshit on them tuning an M3 also. Just more vaporware and vaporposts.

Yes, you keep referencing this one magical person. Possibly a unicorn associated with them, helping them pump up their vaporware?

Not that I have a dog in this fight, but I find it hilarious that this thread was started in early August, it's now almost November and still no concrete evidence? News as big as this is usually accompanied with pics, dynos, videos. Absolutely nothing here. What kind of company works like that?

Obviously one with something to hide and nothing to show other than a few boastful posts by someone who may or may not be associated with them.

The "magical person" is a long standing member here and you are free to contact him and reply to his posts on the M5 forums. He posted after he had been to Leib. He has documented his F10 M5 Journey, first with the Manhart tune, then with the PP tune and Vmax delete. And now with Leib. He has provided videos, Vbox and dyno sheets previously. He is involved in a different tuning company, so I don't suspect that he is "a unicorn associated with them" And, we now have two recent German/European members claiming that Leib tuned their F8x M cars as well... I can tell you that if this indeed is a hoax, then I have been taken for a ride as well... BTW, dyno sheets and info available from their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Leibengineering?fref=ts Quote:

I am not their representative nor have I looked on their Facebook page recently. But this company seems to work like most other companies, publishing their info in the public domain (like on social media). This thread wasn't started by Leib, I suspect they don't even know about it's existence... Don't expect them to update a thread they don't know about The info is available, you just have to go to their FB page |

All that info is for the M5. What does that have to do with this F8X thread that you started????

The point is that the F10 M5 was tuned with a custom DME flash tune and that Leib had provided the info for this tune, something that other members questioned. And if you care to read the OP, you will see that this is not a F8x specific thread, but provides info about a possible crack of the Fxx gen DME... Again, sorry for providing info about Fxx gen tuning to the forum... |
