2018 BMW M3  [0.00]
I contacted Walser BMW in KS about a nice looking SMB cs in stock with 21k miles. It has a few tasteful mods like some extra carbon up front and reflector deletes, but they couldn’t or wouldn’t tell me if had been tuned previously even tho the carfax shows it being serviced at KMD Tuning in NJ.

Additionally it’s the highest priced cs at $80.5k and no CCBs. The salesperson was nice but mostly useless and informed me that they don’t negotiate and that their price was correct for the market. Whatever. It’ll still be there in 18 months at that price.

Why not call KMD Tuning and inquire since you have the VIN?

I'm terrible at betting and making predictions, but if you keep that car for at least another couple years I don't think you'll be upside down at all. Lots of smart money people I listen to have been predicting a 15-20% dip in auto pricing for a 12-18 month period, and then for it to rocket back up. I believe a lot of dealers are thinking the same thing because of all this talk of declining prices, I'm seeing very little of it around here. If you bought high, the last thing I would do now is sell it. I paid a bit more for my FDB 19 M4CS back in late September than I wanted to, but honestly the price was worth it to me and I'm not concerned about losing much in the long run. I paid $75k for a FDB 19 M4CS with 14k miles in late September, and it's worth every penny of that price as is to me. I also received brand new tires and some touch up paint work as part of the deal. I'd have to check but I believe the sticker on it was like $112k, so a $37k drop in price in 3 years is pretty ordinary (yes I know most didn't sell at sticker but I'm looking for a reason to be optimistic here hah!). It's an absolutely amazing machine. Drive and enjoy!

I did some research on this before it was listed with photos and all. When I searched the VIN think I came across this car getting a tune at a motorsports shop on youtube. It had smoked out rear lights too. This dealer took some time to list the car and think they tried there best to clean it up before listing.

Could, but tune or no the dealer is $10k over market and “doesn’t negotiate.”

Wow that is insanely inexpensive. I cannot imagine the miles alone is what causes the 50%+ depreciation, if so yikes.

I ran it through MDecoder and Carfax and both show not CS. Also, seems to have come from factory with 437s (aka - not CS also). Annoying that an actual BMW dealer doesn't bother to do 5 seconds of leg work to determine what kind of car they have.

Also - why no pics on their site. Would be nice to confirm visually if it has the seats, the hood, etc.

(Edit - to make it clear - I am agreeing with your conclusion right now.)

If it's not a CS, then it's the only F80 M3 I've ever seen without comfort access listed in the build data; however, the
Quote:
S2VY BMW LA wheel M double spoke 437 fer.grey
is definitely odd too, and I can't fathom a CS being able to be ordered as such.

As an aside, from that dealer's web site:
Quote:
Unless otherwise noted, vehicle prices listed are plus tax, tag and title. Dealer also charges a pre-delivery service fee in the amount of $1,199.95 which charge represents cost and profit to the dealer for items such as cleaning, inspecting and adjusting new and used vehicles and preparing documents related to the sale, or lease; and dealer also charges a private tag agency fee in the amount of $99.95
...so add essentially $1300 to that asking price.
