That was my initial assumption but watching that video it would seem to indicate that it is claiming to provide more than just shine. I would not expect it to come anywhere near the protection of a clear bra but if it were to provide some level of protection against chips then I would seriously consider it over a clear bra. Will be interested to see further reviews and opinions on this.

So the job in the video is probably a $5k job to apply 8 coats (making some assumptions here)?

Gents, if you are basing a purchasing decision off the video, and are purchasing 1-2 coats, I wouldn't make any assumptions about WHAT you are getting...

To put this in perspective: I can show you videos of paint protection film that show similar protection to being hit hard with a plastic edge. And I can show you videos of similar water sheeting action after a ~$50-100 product is applied to the paint. These videos mean nothing.

I will sell you a package that for $5k I will come to your house and touch-up your car once a year for the first 50k miles

I am going to get this done, once my m3 arrives. 4-8 coats, just depends on timing. I will take photos or get videos if I can.

Damit! Your telling me I can't trust everything I see on the internet? This is disheartening to say the least

The person I spoke with told me that some people get a clear bra and the Ceramic Pro on top, clear bra will protect better against big rocks

We need protection against DOOR DINGS!

Wonder if coating only the doors would make them look different then rest of car.

I have OptiCoat professionally applied on my X3. It's not scratch or chip proof. It does make maintenance easier though
