That's the million dollar question.

DME locked and returned to stock, dealer would (probably) not know. If needing a replacement engine and BMW need to dig further though.. that's when it could get interesting.

I can tell you the bottom two errors usually mean there is a mileage blocking device being used. Playing with fire...

If there is a ton of smoke after sitting and hitting the gas and then it goes away when driving, that's usually indicative of bad valve stem seals.

He made it so obvious by deleting the original thread related to the mileage blocker. The fact that he's so defensive about replacing his "clocks" i.e. instrument cluster just confirmed our suspicion.

The DME is already flagged in the ROM (read-only memory), he's not going to get too far as getting a warranty approval..
