error after replacing the diff carrier bracket - rear axle diff lock

Looking for some troubleshooting guidance...

I just replaced the diff carrier + bushings, had dropped the subframe completely to do this...

Once everything came together, I started the car and noted this error "rear axle diff lock error".

There were 4 sensors/plugs that I had disconnected when the subframe was dropped, two on the diff (front and back) and two on the wheel hubs (wheel speed sensor).

Car runs fine...just looking for some guidance of what I may have overlooked or things I could look at/do.

Appreciate the help...thanks!

did you disconnect the battery, when you did the work? May just need to clear the code or key cycle the car. When I got into a minor fender bender(rear) I got this alert. I looked everything was fine, after the 2nd key cycle and drive around the block the next start it went away.

Have you tried scanning for codes and clearing them? Seeing if it then comes back?

quick update, checked all the connections and they all look good. have reset the codes and they keep coming back...I am now leaning towards that the step motor is the issue.

two more points that I noticed, thought I would share...

- car up on jack stands, both wheels move simultaneously, its almost as if the wheels are locked...cannot not move one side, even if other side is held.

- second, when turning the car, hear grinding noise from the rear gears. no noise when going straight...

Thoughts? Diff or step motor?
