A true 50/50 partnership. Bringing together 2 premier BMW high performance tuning companies
  • Designed by VF Engineering using state-of-the-art 3D scanning, 3D prototyping, and air-flow analysis for the absolute biggest, most efficient, and well designed market offering available today.
  • Manufactured by CSF using steel-mould custom cast endtanks, a custom built air-to-water intercooler core that is made in-house, and assembled by CSF's master welders.

Lab testing versus OEM from CSF, Dyno testing by VF, and on track testing by Yost Autosport's new endurance racing M4 race car coming soon.

World Debut next week at SEMA - CSF booth #21563 in Central Hall - 1st batch of delivery expected between 12/15-to-12/28

(Combine this cooler with our GAME OVER heat exchanger for the largest power increase and lowest IATs)

Multiple finishes will be in stock and ready to go. Also, we'll be offering the option to fully customize the cooler with custom finishes to match any taste.

Prototype matte wrinkle light black
*Disclaimer - this is a prototype paint option, and also is a picture of the 1st trial of powder-coating these units. Production quality will be perfect, and will have the same high level of quality and product standards as all CSF / VF racing products.

More pictures of other paint options and detailed information coming soon!

We'll be happy to answer any questions that anyone may have. Cheers!

11/15/2016 Update:

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone with an update. We've been very busy with the SEMA show, and now trying to catch up with everything, etc...

Anyway, here is a current update on the development of this new charge-air-cooler.
  1. VF Engineering was scheduled to have this cooler on the dyno late last week / early this week. I haven't had a chance to touch base with them this week, but we should be getting together to discuss dyno results in the next week or so.
  2. VF Engineering is also trying to schedule a drag-strip session to test the performance in back-to-back run full throttle conditions.
    - They're attempting to run 2 cars with multiple test configurations (w and w/o charge air cooler, and/or with upgraded CSF "Game Over" heat exchanger) against a stock stage 1 tuned version.
  3. Yost Autosport has this cooler installed in their vehicle, and it was on display at our booth at SEMA. They got theirs custom powder coated to match their livery scheme.
    - They've also just tested the performance of the cooler with our race heat exchanger (50 rows), and upgraded dual-pass DCT cooler - no quantifiable data given yet, but the testimonial was "The cooler is cold as ice after an all-out 1 hour + session on the track"
    - They'll be testing their car again, in preparation of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, this weekend at California Speedway. I'll be there personally, and I'm expecting it to be in the high 80's / low 90's at the track.. Will report back with results.

  4. We got a lot of good feedback on our new cooler design from our dealers and other members of this community from around the world at the show which we value greatly. We're pretty much good to go with production starting next week with a few final touches to be implemented. We'll be airfreighting the 1st 20 units to try and have them here before Christmas. About 8 of them have already been spoken for (including Pure Performance's personal vehicle). Also, if anyone is local So-Cal, and is going to be at the Speed District event this Sunday, you can check our Ian's (DoctorFord on IG) or Yost Autosport's vehicles - they have this cooler installed.
  5. Lab testing from our ISO certified lab will be released before the final production model will be available to market.
  6. Here are some pictures of the production level "Crinkle" black powder coating that will be the stocking version of this cooler. This one was painted locally in Orange County, CA by local experts Embee Performance. This one with raw/exposed hardware. Options are endless!

11/22/2016 Update:

1st one on the streets:

Custom painted - flat crinkle black with painted white accents.

Data coming soon
Any data available now ?

Anyone hook up an OBD reader and look at the IAT while driving? Just dynoed my car for baseline stock and it was 123 F at the start and when the car was moving, it dropped to 100 F. Was surprised how high it was, even at 100 F. Forgot to leave it in to see what numbers i see while driving. Next time...

Came across this from Evolve. Not F8X, however still a proper test by a credible tuner. It appears CSF coolers work very well.
