Went on a 300KM spirited drive today with a bunch of performance cars on back road / country roads. It reaffirmed my comments on the difference to the CP. it is absolutely night and day. Easy for me to say, but you need to drive the two back to back or own both to see for yourself.

I’m waiting to see the results of another CS owners fitment of the Eibach V1. Mild drop but it should give enough of a drop to retain stock feel and reduce that gap slightly. Going too low with this car is just asking for the front splitter to be ripped apart.

Completed a long club day drive on the weekend. Unfortunately I ran over a re-tread on the highway on the way home.

Thankfully the XPEL saved my carbon splitter, tearing the film in a few places but retaining the integrity of the splitter.

Also, caught up with a few mates prior to the above damage to the XPEL on the splitter. Gotta respect the competition.

Now... sorting out that Akra. Can't decide if I should go with MPE though and save $.
It's interesting that CS is this different. I too came from owning another F80 and CS has been so different, compliant and overall just a surprise comparing both base M3 and Competition pack I'd driven.

Congrats! I too added spacers for street.
Curious to know if adding spacers 10F/ 12R is purely an esthetic mod or it has an improvement element to it???

For me I can say it was purely esthetic. I drive the car a lot and track it a lot too so I have a separate wheel and tire set for track to provide additional grip.

A few new updates this past week.

I've replaced my BSM mirror caps from a mates modded M3 with carbon.

The BSM caps actually matched the shadowline trim really well.

The carbon looks much better and ties together the carbon side skirt nicely.

As exciting as carbon mirror caps are, the real upgrade was to a Akrapovic Evolution exhaust.

I've combined this with a Burger Tuning valve controller for maximum smiles. So far, I love it!

The exhaust is 6 months old, though the rear muffler is only 2 months old due to a warranty replacement.

I'm actually thinking of switching the rear carbon tips for the titanium finish if anyone wants to swap?

I think the titanium finish will suit the CS better, with the silver badge.

Oh and I chucked on an M Performance steering wheel (V2), though I am really undecided on whether I like it.

The feel compared to the CS is superior as I find the CS wheel to be far too thick - it hurts my wrists over longer drives.

Will likely switch back to the CS wheel though as I force myself to get used to it.

Interesting; where are you holding the wheel? The V2 looked to be at least as thick as the CS when measured at the grips above the cross-spokes.

Holding the wheel at 9 and 3 it's similar.

However holding anywhere else, where its diameter is thicker, it tends to be tiring.

I also want to chuck the red M1/M2 buttons and feel the blue strip on the V2 will look out of place.

Will swap back tonight and re-think it.

Went back to the CS wheel tonight.

Immediately I prefer the single texture compared with the leather/alcantara mix of the V2.

Thinking of adding some color to the cabin in Imola Red, much like the below.

And just another photo I took last night. I need to clean my Akra tips this weekend.

Keep the CS but add the inner carbon from Mperformance.

Thats why I went MP V1, also prefer single texture. Mix looks aftermarket.

They really did do such an incredible job with the CS seats. Awesome details.

It's funny, a few of my M3 mates have made the switch to the C63s coupe this past week.

Mostly it seems like they've done it for something different. Each has owned at least 2 F80's.

You cannot beat the sound out of the C63s, but the looks are quite boring when next to an M3.

On its own I think it's quite nice, and it would be a really nice daily drive, but it's a bit flat.
