M4 weak downshift sound

So here is the background: Originally the car was running bm3 stage 1 with stock exhaust. Sound was great comparing to stock.
Yesterday I just put on catless downpipe, and flashed bm3 stage 2 agg. The idle and reving sound is way louder. But here is the problem, now when I downshift, the loud reving sound is gone. It now sounds like a balloon losing air
Anyone knows the reason for that? I really miss the loud rev match

Make sure the transmission setting is at two of three

Which is more important: loud idling or loud downshift

Yep! I did. Transmission in S3, engine sport+ , but no helps
I suspect it’s related to decat DP

Update: loud downshift comes back when I flashed back to stage 1 (91 octane ver. 9.0).
After trying different valve settings (open/close/auto), there was no change on downshift. Then I’ve tried to flashed to latest stage 1 (ver. 9.1) map. Strangely, it sounds even more louder than stage 2 agg. But still no change on downshift. Then I flashed back to previous stage 1 map, downshift sound was back.
Not sure that’s exactly going on. But it works

in sport+ the downshifts are not compatible because when you drive on track the downshifts are to aggressive and makes the backside of the car instability.

in sport-mode is the function availible

interesting. I never realize that before as I hardly drive in sport. It’s either comfort or sport+. The loud downshift was back after I flashed back to my original stage 1 map

I think he meant *at least* 2 of 3. I really wish there was a way to get 3/3 downshifts with 2/3 upshifts… that would be perfect. I like the way mclaren sets theirs - 2/3 is all theater and brutality and 3/3 is lightning shifts with less theater
