Thanks, brother! You're absolutely right! What platform? I was actually injured on my deployment and medevac'd out late last year and just finished terminal literally today after having a spine surgery in January.

Got called back early last year from the civilian side to head back over and am stoked to be home.

I was actually scared of buying the car blind with the buckets given my back situation, but they're surprisingly comfy.

I was actually looking for Voodoo or Miami Blue or Carmine Red but after about a year of watching the market, it was hard to find the perfect build for the right money.

.2 GT3s are going anywhere between 140 for basic spec, to 180 for high spec, PTS cars. The options additions on these cars cause high swings in prices.

I can't even describe the feeling, but I sure am thankful. I'll still be sticking around here as I'm waiting for some of these new X5Ms to take the major depreciation hit and keeping an eye on some of your awesome builds.

UPDATE:

Roughly 250 miles of seat time and I'm still amazed. Took it out to some ridiculous mountain roads here and put it to the test (while being fully aware that I do not possess the skills to extract its full potential, nor desiring to do it on public roads) and I was just completely blown away.

It's actually very mechanical, similar to how my GT-R was, but not overbearing. With the exhaust valves closed and normal driving, it's very livable (and I have an aftermarket center section) The F80 feels calm and cool in comparison. The engine and PDK are 15/10, and the glorious sound the 4.0 produces is just magic. Build quality is phenomenal and the BOSE sound system isn't terrible. Touch screen and CarPlay is fantastic, but who cares with that engine?

Final thought at this point. The car really reminds me of why I loved the E92 M3 so much with the high revving and linear power delivery. It definitely wants you to keep it up in the RPMs.

Pics as reward for your time reading.

great writeup. I had a GTR and plenty of seat time in an E92. I know what you mean about the insane grip the GTR.. and the high revving smooth power delivery of the E92. I ended up going with the 458 to get my high rpm fix.

Been trying to sell my 458 or trade it in for a clean .2 manual with ceramics for a quite a few months now without luck. 1st world problems.
