Wait, are you saying that 2018 models are now possible to recode with anti-dazzle?

I thought this was not possible unless you replaced the headlights with the European Part numbers.

Please clarify. I see you have a 2018 F80 CS

Yes, it was not a problem for my car. Alex@Alpine simply coded the headlights in 5 minutes and I have had no issues with the anti-dazzle high beam feature. Maybe the CS comes with the European headlight part number? Is there a way to tell without disassembling the headlight?

Take a picture of the underside of the mid section of the outer driver's side headlamp. If it is missing the LED array and circuitry, you have the wrong hardware and you anti-dazzle are not functioning properly.

I’m curious as well. Alex originally coded mine as well in 2018 and the performance was decidedly substandard due to the hardware insufficiency. I coded it back to the original config until I was able to install euro lights earlier this year.

I many need to go back to stock oem, I tried them this evening and they looked dim for night driving as they looked if the park lights were on and when the high beams went on, they looked like normal headlights? I tuned off the auto high beams option and put on regular headlights same thing it's way to dim for night driving. The normal oem led adaptive lights are bright and look straight like my high beams are now, the high beams don't light up the sky as they are supposed to either. I think it's just coding gone wrong or not adaptable for the 2018 LCI model. Will need to go back to OEM soon as I would not drive with this at night, too dangerous especially on country roads. You can't even see the sides on the road on regular mode. The night picture you see is the normal heals light before the coding and the rest are after the coding.

On your last pictures, it looks like your high beams (the lower portion of the headlights) are not even on.

I had them recoded back to oem stock, much better. I was going to the coding place and it flickered on the road and felt if the lights went out while I was getting if the exit at 8:30 at night. Almost soiled my pants at that point. After safely arrived at facility and have it recoded back to stock at this time.

Just bought a set of LCI headlights US Spec BUT put them on hold because I'm wanting to get the EURO Version.

Did a fair amount of searching on here and REALOEM.

Trying to find the part numbers for EURO LHD LCI 2 Lights.

Anyone by chance know the part numbers for them?

Check out this thread, this will have the information you want. Look for the ECE or EU spec lights.

I’m so sorry and rather embarrassed to post, but would love a little help.

I have a 2018, Canadian F82 M4 Competition with LED headlamps and adaptive headlights. I don’t have the KAFAS2 or FLA cameras however. I have coded several goodies using Bimmercode.

Decoding my VIN reveals:

S5AP Decoding Anti-Glare High-Beam Assistant

S552 Adaptive LED Headlight

S563 Light Package

S8S4 Decoding, Variable Light Distribution

I’ll ask the eternal question and fear I may be berated, but hey, I’ll have a go! Can I code the VLD and anti dazzle features? Any help or pointers are appreciated. In Vancouver if that helps a kind soul :-)

Not possible without the cameras…

I need some guidance after reading many threads on this topic. I have a 2018 340i with build date of 09/2018. Adaptive LED package with high beam assist option. I would like to code in the anti-dazzle feature but I understand my headlights lack the circuitry needed. However, after looking at the photos in this thread, my headlights look nothing like the photos here. I am wondering if mine would be able to be coded. I have attached a few photos of the high beam LED array of the driver's side headlight, inner and outer high beam.

I have a 2018 440i and I’ve been working on this. This thread has been the best source of info I’ve found on it by far. I VO coded and set all the parameters from this version in GitHub according to the version including side markers: https://github.com/packetpilot/bmw-f.../pmooiweer.xml

The NGHB works fantastic. It worked when i had just done the VO coding, but all the little changes made things way better. Only issue is that now my low beams are quite dim, whether HBA is engaged or not.

Before I made all the small changes the low beams were fine, so something I changed did it. How can I increase the brightness of the default low beams back to where it was?

Is it possible to code this on my 2016 F80 with adaptive LED’s? If so, would it be a matter of downloading ista and coding it that way? I’m assuming BimmerCode won’t get the job done. That’s the extent of my coding experience.
