GC camber plates - how are they different?

GC site has many options to suit different F80 variants. I tried to install some used GC plates on my 2017 F80 ZCP w/EDC, but the strut thread is not long enough to get the top nut on effectively. The factory plate is only a few mm thick, whereas the GC plates have a bearing maybe 12mm thick. How does the GC plate to suit my car differ?
