F82 vs G82 Manual Transmission

Hey guys,

So I just test drove the new M4 and the only thing that left me wanting out of the car was the new 6 speed box. It felt so tight and connected, almost like a short shifter.. has anyone modded our lever to have a similar feeling?

felt about the same to me. maybe a little tighter / less slop. but i didn't drive it, just played with the shifter in the showroom.

there are short shift kits available for the f8x. the install is extensive though. i'd probably only use a shop that has done a few of them before. thats whats holding me back from doing it on mine.

Yes there are some really good threads about various short shifter options for F8x cars.

It was a huge difference, almost difficult put into gear driving normal but when you drive aggressive it's a really nice feeling. Feels very direct. I'll check out the options !
