I'm going to ask my alignment guy on Tuesday if he thinks I can fit 295/35's on the rear with my 15mm rear spacers.

Tom, this is a great reference. How would 12mm rear with 285's work on KW clubs? Do you think it'll rub on an M4??

Depends on tire brand, which will you be going with?

It should, the Dunlops are pretty aggressive. I would measure first to be 100% sure before pulling the trigger.

Odd you want the rear bigger then the front.
My 15mm rear doesn't rub at all and I had the car weighted down with 4 adults. The difference between drop from Sport to SuperSport is pretty minimal in the rear... The 15 front is perfectly flush, my 15 rear has the rear wheel about 2mm inside the fender. I want perfect, but I'm probably just unrealistic. My AY reflector replacements are off just a tad and it makes me bananas.
Yeah I want to do 15s all the way around with Eibachs. And for my AY M3 I might go with gloss black reflector for front and rear due to not getting a perfect color matched yellow. Black rear reflectors actually make the back little more aggressive.

Front drop is identical. Approximately 1/4" different in rear height between 435 vs M3/M4.
Off topic, but I have to know. Tom, what wheels are on the M4 in the second picture?

Is there a DOT rule or some sort of benchmark they need to adhere to? Or are they designed with the stock gaps because that is the geometry that the engineers at BMW found work best? Cause if it's the first, I'm interested in doing this to my ride. If it's the latter, I would be inclined to stick with what the engineers intended.
All vehicles are engineered to satisfy a number of needs: From perfectly flat roads to harsh winters (and everything in between). Spacers have been used for years (not only BMW), BMW uses them on the M3 GT4. Even Porsche offers them as a factory part.

I would want full fender coverage on my m3 and will want the tires to look stock- only with a subtle improvement. Thinking 20mm may be overly aggressive with my goal in mind.
Pushing the rubber outwards will always run this risk. While no one will be running 2" thick spacers on a BMW, less aggressive thicknesses will keep more fender over the tire.
Tom,
Wouldn't wheel spacers move the line of force away from the bearing centre giving a cantilever force on the wheel bearing assembly resulting in higher bearing loadings?

We're talking minimal thicknesses in point here to be of any concern.

I am about to start to order my parts, since the car will be here less than 2 weeks... First, Imma start with spacers+wheel locks.
I dont think I will lower M3, I need ground clearance for daily drive. And most likely I will go with all weather tires after my PSS. Is 12mm all round good for daily drive with no issue? And what kind of wheel locks should I use? I saw a set of RAD wheel locks @ EAS, but its in silver. Does any other compay offers wheel locks in black? (Which fits 12mm spacer)

Thank you~

Nice. What tires/sizes are you running?

Edit: Looks like stock.

None that I've seen in extended lengths. An alternative would be to run wheel studs with locking tuner lugs.

Some have even purchased the RAD ones and painted them black.

If I go 275 front and 295 rear on stock 19 rims,
I read 10mm spacer is ok on the rear with 295, what size spacer for the 275s on the front?

I’d also like to know what others are experiencing. Is this a non-issue or a potential cause for concern? I’d be perfectly happy running 12/12 to avoid any issues. I’m most concerned with debris from the front wheels.

Depends on tire brand as widths vary from brand to brand. Which brand do you plan on running and are you planning on altering ride height any?

Looking at djhex36's setup. H&R Supersport springs. 15mm F/R
I would assume 18mm F/R would work, or am I Wrong?
Would i rub? I also have the 18s on H&R Supersports
