Am I correct in thinking it should take a week to get from port to dealership?

How much time did it take for you guys to be informed that your car made it to a vessel?
Did you guys know the name of the ship before it got to port? or... Did you guys find out a day later that your car had already made it on a ship? Last edited by AM4ZING; 04-07-2015 at 09:21 PM.. |

The potential ship that i've been tracking (FEDORA) which is set to reach Los Angeles before any other ship left BREMERHAVEN 2 hours ago... Im not sure if my car made it on that ship and my CA says the status still shows arrived at port. You think they just haven't updated since it left only a couple hours ago?

I went to W&W's website and entered my VIN. It told me the vessel. From there I tracked the vessel on marine traffic.com

I will not be putting a front license plate on. On my E92 I did not have the front license plate and only ran into a problem once. I was at a gas station pumping gas and a cop walked up to me and asked me how I liked the car. I of course told him I loved it. He replied by saying that he loves towing cars that don't have a front license plate. He said he could do that because technically it didn't meet the state inspection codes. In my conversation with him I told him I had the plate but hadn't had a chance to secure it. After some talking back and forth he decided to "let me slide this time but I had to get it installed immediately." That was a little over 3 years ago. Haven't had an issue since. In fact, a majority of the high end cars around here don't have front plates.

Thanks, good info - Talked to my CA today and he estimated the vehicle would leave the VPC on Saturday and most likely be ready for p/u Monday - He said a slim chance for a Saturday p/u. Obviously nothing is done on Sunday. This is info for vehicles heading to Passport in Maryland. |
