Glad you feel your M3 is more premium.

Love the looks of the F-Type. However the interior feels cheap especially considering how much it costs. I realize J/LR has less budget to work with for switchgear and such, but even the Range Rovers are much better.

I drove the Type R coupe and loved the styling, sound, and performance in general. However, the visibility was severely lacking. I need an airy greenhouse, so the F83 was a better fit for me. I can understand why the Jag sells, though.

My F30 had the ZF box. My F82 has DCT. Night and day difference. DCT is hands down better in all aspects in my opinion.

ZF may be "smoother" (although if you want that, drive the DCT in mode 1), but noticeably (significantly) slower.

the ZF in the Jag is significantly quicker than the F30. I have a 335i F30 and driving them back to back is night and day.

Interesting.

Either way, you're literally the only person I've read/heard say that the ZF is as good as/better than M DCT.. I've always heard that the ZF is very, very good though and, as long as you're happy, that's the important thing

960/month?
How is it possible on a 110k car?
I m sure such deal is not an option for 97% of us.

I like the jag. However if I was to spend 110k and was ok with two doors, I'd get p-car carerra s. This would be more inline with m4.

For sure I would only lease it.

Looks like you can get some good deals on lightly used 2 year models. 40% drop in 2 years

I drove an F-Type R yesterday,

Will state the Powertrain in totality is money, driving dynamics are great as well. However, I agree with others the visibility is horrible at 6'3, I have never been in a car which I have had to look around the A-Pillar to see the stop light, I don't understand why it even had a rearview mirror. The Sat Nav/Infotainment leaves much to be desired. I was shocked to find the HK in my F80 sounded better, granted the XF had more bass but lacked the same clarity even after 15mins of EQ'ing.

No I didn't buy it, if I got an offer like the OP maybe

I find this hard to believe. Last time I checked, the F-Type had the Meridian audio. I've heard it in the Evoque and it's nothing short of incredible.

Audio is personal taste... but I couldn't find an EQ I liked while I waited for them to get me some numbers.. I think the F-Type is like 770watts with a similar amount of speakers to the F8X. Could also had to do with the F8X having more of a soundstage room vs. F-Type

+1. I just picked up a 2016 RRS with the Meridian audio. Nothing too special. About the same as the M3 to my ears. The V8 exhaust note on the other hand, is amazing

Weird. Maybe it just works better in the Evoque cabin. I think the one I had as a loaner once also had the upgraded version of it.

I was just behind one of these last night on my drive home. The hips on the coupe are so much more pronounced than in the convertible. They almost look like two different cars.

I much prefer the coupe. A really beautiful car from nearly every angle. However, I feel this is a much more mature car, and one where the average drivers age is well above the M4. Even though the F-Type costs about what a 911 does, I bet the owners median age for the Porsche is years below the Jag.

Everyone wins!

I would actually disagree. I think its size caters to a more youthful driver than the 911. these Jags are really tiny cars.

0-60 in 3.2-3.3 seconds is pretty damn fun I got to tell you.

Also the car in 2 days, has gotten more thumbs-up/compliments than my F10 M5/F82 M4 combo did in a whole year. I'm telling you.
0-60 3.8-3.9 is more accurate
