Remus Exhaust Review

I just installed the Remus on my 2018 M3 ZCP. I bought it from a local place in euros and it came with the pipe that removed the secondary cats and resonator, all the way to the muffler itself with carbon fiber tips. I have to say, compared to the ZCP exhaust it is insanely loud and the burbles turn into loud pops and cracks now. The Polizei can hear me from a mile away and the tunnel rides are ridiculously fun. I find myself having to throw the car back into Efficient a bunch of times just to chill out.

When the flaps are closed (efficient) the car is really, really quiet. There is a drone for sure but it's not crazy. The only bad thing is that the burbles just get obnoxiously loud and long. And if you tune it on BM3 Stage 1 it just gets ridiculous; probably something you might get tired of. I'll post with video if I can later, but I found that video doesn't capture the insanity at all.

Nice review, but it reads as if you have mixed feelings.

Maybe you still need more time to decide, but at this point would you say you're happier with the result than stock, or wish you'd gone with something different?

The remus midpipe sucks, you want Remus rear section and AA mid for the perfect combo.

You can also adjust the burbles duration and aggression with BM3

Well, I am definitely happy with it--it literally sounds like a race car now.

That would be nice but I'm in Germany and the hoops I gotta jump through to get that wasn't worth my time.

Yeah, I tried to keep it on the Competition Package (OEM) burbles because it's the most tame and mild but now I think I might have to tone it down a bit or just turn it off altogether.

Congrats OP!

Im glad you like the sound, as mentioned above use BM3 to tone the burbles down or remove them altogether

Thanks, I actually found that I kept the flaps opened on accident and I didn't save the OEM settings for burbles. I've done OEM on both and now it sounds nice and tame...of course crazy if I step on it! woot!
