They'll see the service history anyway. I would recommend that he goes to the service advisor and is upfront about how it's been challenging working with another dealer (without going into detail), and saying he had heard great things about this new dealer and would really appreciate their help in taking care of some warranty items

^^^ i know that. better in my view to let them figure it out and avoid giving the impression of being a whiner when you walk in the door.
it's also been my practice for a long time to avoid bad mouthing or appearing to bad mouth people I've worked with in the past unless it's absolutely necessary. |
