Here's an idea of what the system sounds like while still, sounds much better at WOT however.

I'm curious as to how much that equal-length system from Strada costs and how it compares to Active Autowerkes EQ midpipe. The Strada exhaust is a full catback so it should probably run upwards of 2-3k.

There are a few high-end exhausts for this car that sound equally horrible.

I think they all just built their systems to look nice and make money. None of them made any real effort to fix the sound, they just made it louder.

Just a quick clip. Need to mount the go pro near the exhaust. Sounds pretty damn good.

Too long for where you cut it? Or does it actually go past the weld/bend on the muffler inlet?
PM me and we can chat about it.

Has anyone ran a resonated catless DP and non resonated EL with an aftermarket axleback? I have the oem non comp axleback now and would not mind a bit more loudness with the valves open.

Garage List
Just got my resonated midpipe installed to my IPE catless downpipe and non-comp muffler. Totally love it. Feels like I am driving a new car. Sounds exotic and so far no issues with buzzing or vibration. Not really a complaint, but it isn't quite as loud as I thought. Don't get me wrong, it's louder than before, but not as loud as the same setup with the single midpipe for example. I will give it some time to break-in, but down the road I could see installing a remus muffler or something like that to really put the cherry on top. Overall, an amazing product and aside from BM3 it is my favorite mod so far.

I've been on this thread for some time and the equal-length midpipe from Active Autowerke is undoubtedly the best thing exhaust wise when it comes to our cars. However I can't decide on which muffler is best suited for the Equal-Length midpipe. In my case I have downpipes and would get the resonated version. After hearing many different axle back setups, I've come to the conclusion that a Dinan, Remus, or an MPE Axle Back is best suited for those users with an equal-length midpipe. However for myself, I can't decide which is exactly the best. The video I listed below is a DCT car with Catless downpipes, Resonated Equal-Length Midpipe, and a MPE Muffler. Listen to the downshift at 0:32. Tell me what you guys think. https://youtu.be/IkTCp2eh_bA

Also, has anybody paired up their equal-length system with an Eisenmann rear section? Particularly the Performance Race one which just has a resonator.

Personally, there are two different sounds that come from a Catless Downpipe/Res Midpipe and a Stock Downpipe/Non-res midpipe that it's two almost different sounds. I'm still tinkering with my head of what to do midpipe back with my car, not going catless anytime soon. My favorite sound for your question personally was the catless downpipe, res midpipe, and AA 3-can rear from this video. There's no video of a pull but it sounds very very good. https://youtu.be/NFBDZjmBHcs?t=1354

The three can setup sounds really good paired with the equal-length midpipe. Not sure if it's the standard 3 can or Mad Max version but sounds quite good.

This was before the development of the Mad Max system so I believe that is the 3 can setup. I don't know what it is with the 3 can set up, but with stock downpipes/non-res midpipe it also sounds pretty good too.

So far I’ve liked the stock muffler the best out of all the catted and decatted versions I’ve heard online. Don’t know how that translates to decats in real life tho. At worst, I would imagine the stock muffler would just sound decent to a few... I.e I don’t think anyone would think it sounds bad in any way so I think it’s worth a shot since it’s free

How much did the sound change by going resonated? Did it quiet down a lot? What rear section are you running?

I don't think that's an MPE muffler, his IG says stock muffler. It sounds higher pitched compared to mine.

An MPE muffler can still be considered the stock muffler, as that is what some cars came optioned with from the factory. I took a look at his IG page and just to confirm, it looks to be a MPE muffler as shown by the exhaust tips and the muffler appearing to be tucked in, unlike the non-comp/comp/cs muffler. I also noticed from the sound, since the MPE muffler is Titanium. It gives off a different tone, more of like a high pitched sound which I really like. Too much titanium on the exhaust system will frankly sound terrible, but having the muffler be titanium gives off a nice touch.
