2014 i8 gets laser headlights (yes real lasers) yet M4 gets incandescent tail lights

you're right, I missed the point...an now it's even more sad, a Kia and an M4 have almost the exact same tail light design.

Its a good strategy for them, since the first model will get "older" so they need to bring some cool stuff that the "old" model didn't have. Cause the eager buyers are already done and doesn't need much convincing as the buyers that are waiting.

With my 2011 e92 335xi, there were lots of changes for the "better" depends how you see it. One of them was the LED tails.
