Suggestions on lowering my M4 CP F83

Looking for advice on lowering my M4. I have a 2020 M4CP F83 convertible. I want to be able to use the factory settings. The wheel gaps are killing me but I’m not trying to slam it and smash the front lip.
Also, not trying to go crazy spending thousands of dollars. Looking for advice on best options? Any suggestions? Thanks!

The better option is to get a HAS setup (M Perf HAS or KW HAS or AST HAS to name a few) so you control how low you drop the front and rear. BMW recommends a 10 mm drop front and rear. I think they recommend this drop is so you maintain stock suspension travel with slightly more bump stop engagement. If you lower > 20 mm then you’re constantly riding the bump stops and it can result in a harsher ride. If you want to push it a little it then try a max of a 15 mm drop front and rear. Note: front gap should always be larger than the rear gap.

If/when I am ready to pony up some more dollars, I plan to go with the MP HAS kit as suggested above. In the meantime, I went with Eibach V1 Euro spec springs and DIY'd the install so I'm only into it for ~$275 and a few hours of my time. For the resources spent, I am happy with the results. Ride quality and handling seem to be on par with the stock ZCP springs, while providing a mild drop that reduced some of the front wheel gap that I found to be aesthetically undesirable. That said, I do wish I could get the front end just a tad lower, and I also noticed that there appears to be a bit more gap on the front passenger than there is on the front driver corner, which could be easily dialed out with a height adjustable kit.

I've been at this ride height and with the MP style front lip installed for a couple months now, and I find it the be very 'daily-driveable' overall. Sure, I have to be careful with steep roadway transitions and parking blocks, but it has been a less pucker-inducing experience than I was anticipating.

Pics for reference - 2018 F80 Competition with Eibach v1 Euro spec lowering springs. Note, I am also running 15mm front and 12mm rear spacers which certainly affects the overall aesthetic along with the lowered stance:

The Eibach V1 Euro does a good job at lowering your car. It looks good. The brands that have a ridiculous drop and extreme forward rake looks terrible. Also, too much forward rake affects the handling balance and brings it closer to oversteer. A corner balanced car would look similar to your car except the rear would be barely tucked into the rear wheel well.

The F80 is a tricky platform when it comes to balancing aesthetics to performance. Hell, even just the aesthetics. In order to get the front wheel gap to where it looks good to me, without completely tucking rear tire, the result is too much forward rake. The Eibach V1 Euro did a decent job at striking a compromise between eliminating most of the egregious front wheel gap, minimizing forward rake, and not tucking the rear tire too much. To clarify that point, the rear tire is not actually tucked with the Eibach V1 Euro, but when photographed from certain angles and in certain lighting it appears that it is.

Yep. The rear dropped another 0.25-0.3125” would be close to the look of a corner balanced car. I don’t have a pic on a completely flat surface but if you can visualize the rear being raised ~0.15” and the front being lowered 0.38” then you can see the rake for a corner balanced car (center of rear jack pad to center of front jack pad, both measured on the chassis, is lower by 0.4” at the front jack pad center). The second pic shows my corner balanced e46 M3 track car. Forward rake (front is lower than rear) is ~0.375” from rear jack pad center (measured on the chassis adjacent to the jack pad) to the front jack pad (again, measured on the chassis adjacent to the jack pad).
