Thinking about buying this F80 M3

I currently drive a E90 M3 slicktop 6spd and have really been considering trading in for a F80 M3.

This one is a CPO 2016 Comp Package with 20k and ceramic brakes. Looking to get some feedback on what to look for in terms of known issues with these cars. What are the biggest items in terms of maintenance compared to my E90. I'm not 100% on it yet just doing my homework, I do love my E90 but lately have been craving more power.

Those ceramic brakes are very expensive to replace. The stock brakes are fantastic in my opinion and I don't think the upgrade is necessary at all unless you are planning on tracking your car often.

I normally recommend a PPI but this one is a CPO so probably not needed.

Good luck with your hunt!

A 2016 with low miles and ceramic brakes could very well be a Performance School car

Check to see if the car was registered in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. If so, then most likely a performance school car.

OP certainly should look into this but it's my understanding that performance school M3's can't be CPO'd.

I spoke to the dealer it's not a driving school car and it does not have the ceramics. It was a lease return.

I will go actually test it this week but will need to get a real impression to trade my slick top 6spd. I've grown into loving the driving feel of the S65 motor.

In terms of known issues with these cars, the only thing is rear tires do not last very long. That is likely an individual thing rather the car

That is correct. Driving school cars can’t be CPO’d or get a BMW EVP.
