Question for the group. How XHP describe the kickdown launch feature and what I'm seeing in the app settings don't seem to line up.
I'm referring to the burnout/performance mode. I just see the ability to adjust the rpms. |

I don't know why I didn't do this until now but I just set the torque reduction to 600 and it has fixed what I thought was a failing DCT clutch.
I think I have been pushing the stock DCT components beyond the limit with my 700+whp / torque output because it's been taking the longest to engage in kick downs to 3rd (for example). Sure I lost the ridiculous giddy up that 700whp brings with those monster down shifts but it comes back once it's fully engaged into gear. This and the clamping pressure alone make this worth buying and I am going to beat myself up for not doing it sooner. I also decided to go to stock shift maps and the car feels so much more drivable. Not sure why I slept on this option as well. Two little adjustments and it's a whole new driving experience. What torque reduction / punch / shift map settings are ya'll using?

Xhp told me I didn't need to touch these settings at my power level so I listened to them. Before, I was running 750 reduction and torque punch 3.

I've tried MHD GTS and the latest GTS from bimmer-remote, currently on the latest GTS. I drive in S3 most of time (> 95%) and notice that 1-2 shift is quite slow to the tune of what feels like more than 1 sec (especially when the car is not warmed up, gets a bit faster once warned up but no way near the shifting speed of other gears). I am interested if xhp can fix this delay from 1-2.

It feels crisp now and bites as it should on downshifts.

I tried this and it felt really spongy, even just driving around town with a 'spirited' foot on the gas. Gear changes were very presently delayed between upshifts. Tried all configurations of S1-S3 and the same result. D mode seemed fine but it's D mode. Moved it to 350, 400 and the same result. When I brought it back to 600 it felt snappy again. One of my tuners also recommended I bring it down to the minimum possible as well (300) but maybe my 100k miles on this DCT have shown it's time to upgrade.

I've left it at default (4) but always find myself turning it down. Currently I have it at 2. I might even drop it to 1. It's just too 'punchy' for street driving (for me). I'm sure I'd have it up on the track though.

I am looking to put BM3 stage 1 on my car along with XHP. Is there in order in which I should flash the car?
How would it work if I am to use the boost by gear reduction in BM3? Thanks! |

Make your BM3 TQ Reduction settings first, so you can feel power changes and check for tire spin. Then tweak the trans action with XHP.

So can anyone confirm the best settings on a stock turbo setup with torque punch and reduction on 60-130 times as a data point? I'm looking for real world data evidence that you receive faster times 60-130 then vs just leaving torque punch and reduction off. thanks If you have a tp and tr setting you use that has given you the best 60-130 times on stock turbo please share so others can give it a whirl. If not please ignore. I'll try to mess around with settings and get you guys real data in the meantime.

After reading a lot here and in other places, it would be necessary to put the torque reduction in the value of NM that the car has... stock 550 stage 2 750 bit turbos over 900... then play with the punch for more aggressiveness or less...
My car 900nm reduction 900 punch 3... its ok |
