We've also compiled our recent F80 M3 and F82 M4 videos below. As we've seen before, the F80 M3 continues to exhibit a planted ride and suspension, flying around the track with little body roll. I still am not a fan of the sound. It has way too much drone in it. so far this is not in the same league of the raspy metallic wail of the S54.
On the plus side it did look fast as hell through the corners. |

F30 Cowbell
Third video (amongst other appearances) @2:45....At least please fix the cowbell on the new M3.
Someone at BMW HQ, please read this! Hear my plea....then we can go back and do a cure for the V8 M3.

This sounded like the auto by the gear changes. Too fast for a manual shifter like me.

I agree, sounds ok. I could live with it, and aftermarket like eisenmann could be great. But the V8 is downright epic.
And really not enjoying the farting and popping from these turbo M cars |

Don't mind the popping but hate the sound. I know you can make a I-6 turbo sound good, I just hope they do it. My 1M sounded great.

Looks like a great car, but after hearing about the potential for the M2, I might want the smaller chariot.

It will be a very cool piece of tech but not a raw spine tingling driver's machine. I'll keep my 8400 RPM screamer with 100 less torque.

can some1 explain to me how GM's allowed to slap the new small block v8 LS1 on its new corvette, but BMW is not?

It kinda just sounds like a mild aftermarket exhaust on a N54 car. With some upshift farts. |
