Beautiful and congrats!

My favorite aspect of this color is how it changes from blue to green depending on lighting. It always wants to be blue in photos but in person it's extremely dynamic and makes you stop and stare.

Congratulations! Beautiful car. Does BMW insurance cover the Ring again or did you go "commando"?

The Ring, is simply a toll road. You're covered just like on any other road.

(You'll just have to wait months for your new car to get to you).

  • Individual Atlantis Metallic
  • Individual Piano Finish Trim
  • Full Merino Leather

We'll be in Germany for 9 days and will be driving around 1,600 miles (according to how we've planned it so far). I'll be updating this thread with pics and details from the trip.
Wow so excited for you. I hope to do something similar some day

Beautiful M4!

I'll be there in Germany in a week and then Munich in two weeks. No Euro delivery (yet)...moving my daughter to Stuttgart...but will be at the Welt and Museum. Can't wait.

Unfortunately, that changed in 2018 when BMW insurance changed to HDI: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...rash+insurance

The Ring is specifically excluded. I hadn't heard they are now covering it again, but that would be fantastic news!

Forgot to add...op, glad you didn't have the Atlantis/Atlantic blue mix up! I am fairly certain BMW will never mess those tow up again after that bimmerpost fiasco!

WOW.... I stand corrected! Thank you sir.

Lucky we did it before they changed.

Rather than quoting everyone, I just want to say thank you to all of the comments. It surely was an incredible experience and one that I HIGHLY recommend to anyone buying a new Bimmer.

I have a load more pics from Munich, Berlin, the Porsche and BMW museums, and more. Will upload more soon!

Great trip! My wife and I still talk about our ED trip we did last year. Can't wait to do it again.

THIS may not be the case: I drove the Ring - and then found out my insurance in Germany does not cover anything...!

That's my understanding...when they switched away from Allianz, coverage stopped. What was shitty was that BMW didn't say anything and a member (who had many Ring laps and just had a bad day) had an accident in his ED F80. After a long post on this board that I can't find right now and lots of back and forth, BMW didn't step up and cover it. It was a controversy for many pages.

Where did you get those red and black bolts from. They look great. The whole car looks great. What size brembos are those in the front.

Did you really? Awesome! I've found some of the pics of me driving there that I'm going to download.

Thanks! I'm not sure what you're referring to with the red and black bolts?

BMW has an European delivery program, where owners can fly down to Munich, pick up the car at their Welt. They offer 2 weeks of insurance with the program, and owners can drive anywhere in the European Union and drop off the car at 10 locations. They ship the car back to the US free of cost. It's part of the European delivery program offered to US and Canadian customers only.

Did that twice and it's one of the best experiences! Here is more info https://www.bmwusa.com/european-delivery.html
Wow that's pretty cool I had no idea. Thanks for the explanation!
