I just got my 2018 M4 Convert with 30k miles last Friday from a BMW dealer. It was not certified because owner # 1 didn't bring in the car according to maint schedule.
I don't think the car was wrecked, but one of my seams on my hood is so bad, I can see a black box in the engine through it, that is how wide it is. I want to get the seams fixed, since I don't know how to do it myself. Regarding my trying to fix them myself, its the seams on the left and right of the hood that need adjusting, making the seams on each side of the hood match, it is a lot wider on the right side than the left. Is this an easy fix that I can do ? If so, can someone tell me how to adjust the hood If it is not an easy fix, does anyone know of any body shops in Los Angeles that will do this? Thank you |

Believe it or not that's pretty easy to adjust.
If you believe the hood is on center, that's a great starting point. The next thing you can do is: Pop the hood Remove the fender attachment cover (either plastic or rubber) Loosen the fender bolts and "massage" fit, tighten down the bolts / plugs as you are happy with the panel gaps. Reassemble. All in this should take at most an hour.

If you move those bolts it can scratch or crack the paint finish on them. But since your car is black you might not be able to tell.
