Nice. I will be ordering the basic ecutek FF kit without the filter shortly. Will be mixing my own formula as E85 not available locally.

Nice! The basic kit is great as I've seen it too. One thing to keep in mind, the filter will also be great for pump fuel and shouldn't be considered as an option for just E85. The OE in tank (non-replaceable) filter is likely a very large micron like ~100 (guessing here). Since it's non-replaceable anyways it makes sense that it would have a high micron rating. With any fuel flowing through your injectors you would want <10micron if possible which this filter will do and very effectively. Most cars prior to E9X series all had replaceable fuel filters in the same location as this...I don't think fuel quality has magically improved over the course of a decade for pump fuels. When you think about it, the fuel storage tanks are likely getting more polluted with sediment and junk as time goes on. You never know what you're going to get at the pump. IMO a filter will save a lot of potential problems with fuel system components; I would want one if running any type of pump fuel. If you're only using quality fuel from a container then maybe you could avoid. Just my .02

Much appreciated for sharing. Following for more content
You're welcome. And more content coming very soon as my car goes in @PETuned for a full Stage 1 bespoke tune next Tuesday. Tuner (Alex Roy @ Performance Eurowerks) plans to spend the whole day testing and testing and testing to assure maximum gains.

It was explained to me there are quite a few strategies to making power that cars react to differently, so he wants to assure what we do on the dyno and for mine (through ecutek) is absolutely optimized.

Not looking for the highest peak values (whp & wtq) necessarily. I would rather prefer to squeeze out as much gains under an rpm range instead. I've seen Alex safely squeeze out +130 wtq gains over parts of baseline curves on other Stage 1 ECU calibrations, which I would be absolutely content with for my own F80.

This is a "true" Stage 1 setup on Ecutek (stock turbos, stock down pipes, stock intakes, recently passed state emissions, etc.) running on 93 octane pump gas.

Will share results immediately upon completion.

Btw there’s some info going round that ecutek is not able to boost more than 29psi/ 2.0bar for S55 engine.

That is simply untrue in the case of my car personally. I am achieving peak boost 31-32psi at below 90% WGDC with Pure Stage 2 HF’s.

Yes you definitely need to consider the filter imo...I personally think it's one of the best things for the fuel system health.

I can verify that their is an OE map that is interfering; the map has been successfully found and manipulated to alleviate the issue; however that map has a purpose so Ecutek is exploring better options than eliminating/disabling that specific map.

If you're over the specific limit that you say, I'd encourage you to pass me a log as I suspect I know why you think yours isn't an issue.

I heard on the A90 that the release needs a bit more work so they're likely trying to fix that up before rolling it out to the S55.

Shout out out to commanderwiggin for the help with installation.

I've added some new content on my insta about the ecutek setup.

Nice. I’d want some guarantee from whichever ecutek tuner you decide to go for with regards to your target boost.

would anyone like to share their s55 ecutek logs? are these considered tuner intellectual properties? I'm keen to compare how different ecutek tuners use different boost/ ignition timing strategies. i know most of you guys in USA are using Bend Calibration or Chet Rickerman for Ecutek

I've seen 31-32 psi on Ecutek but that's the ECU compensating for boost leak(s) ... I was told 3bar target would be the max my tuner would call for assuming the car is operating in a healthy manner.

Question: Do actual boost readings need to be adjusted for by subtracting out 1 bar (~14.x psi) to account for atmospheric? In other words, if dashboard is showing 28 psi, is real boost ~14 psi?

I'm currently having the worst time with ECUTek. Apparently my Turbo Pressure Ratio map is all sorts of messed up. Their customer service is abysmal at best and cant provide me or my tuner any information on the matter. Has anyone gone from ECUTek back to BM3 without loosing their ECUTek license? I want to go back to my previous tune for an event that is nonrefundable.

You should ask your tuner about that. I think he should be able to flash you back to stock so you can re-load BM3

I'm so sorry to hear this. That is the exact opposite of me. Why would you ever want to go back? I love ecutek!!

Who is tuning your car? What issue? I have not needed any support from ecutek directly.

I'm having a ball with ecutek. Could not be happier. My car is being tuned on flex fuel and it's borderline out of control but, puts a huge smile on your face kinda fast.

From day 1 working with Ian @ bend calibration has been A+! Every revision feels great! Everytime I upload a new map is like christmas. No issues whatsoever. The car keeps getting faster and smoother everytime. Very noticeable gains. Then some revisions are leaps. So, I don't get what could be the problem?

Been posted everything on my insta and tiktok. Maybe, it's time to make a post with all the data here too.

I'm gapping FB0 E85 /Meth GTR, FBO M4 E60 mhd jb4 stack map 7, etc the list goes on.

Something isn't right. I really hope you get it resolved dude. Because, I can't say enough great things about bend calibration and ecutek.
