2020 M4s Not Flash Able?

Has anybody had any experience out there with the new 2020s? Both mhd and bm3 don't seem to be compatible with the software. Ive tried both. I also emailed both mhd and ptf and haven't heard anything back. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I spoke with Cary Jordan ealier this week because I too have a 2020 on the way and he told me there is something in the works. He didn't, however, give me a definitive timeframe.

DMEs are locked out for 2020 models.. Have heard rumours though that you can send ECUs in to potentially get unlocked

I’d check with MHD. They posted the update below on their Facebook October 2nd. I know it says Supra, but this is for F + G chassis 1.42 release. Bench unlock has been going on for a while.

Today's public update brings Toyota Supra MK5 support!
_____________________
-custom tunes flashing, and logging.
-original and updated software are supported: yes, the new software that prevented direct OBD flashing is already supported by MHD! Following this milestone, we are looking for a few testers to start a closed testing group for the Stage 1 / 2 MHD OTS maps.
_____________________
Also, MHD WiFi adapters are now produced and are being shipped to retailers, so we added support for those adapters. 3-4 mins unlock flash, 20s map updates.

You can flash on the bench, but OBD is unavailable at the moment

We offer this service for those who don't want to wait

I too, have a 2020 m4 coming... I was planning on getting bm3, but just recently saw a few posts saying March 19+ m4s will have their tuning capabilities locked. What does a bench tune imply, and how much does it cost? Will I only be able to tune it once via bench (unlike OBD where I can change maps on/off depending on my mood)?

I believe that once it is unlocked you will be able to flash it at will.

Pretty much, as long as it's not updated again.
