Tire balancing weights...what to do?

So I just got my new Bridgestone RE11 tires put on my Klassen M52R gloss black wheels today. The shop only had silver weights and obviously couldn't reuse the black ones I had on, so now I can see the weights and it looks terrible. They also couldn't get the sticky crap off my wheels from the black weights, so now it has black stuck everywhere. What can I do? Have them get black ones and swap them? or just sharpie or paint the silver ones? Goo gone on the black stuff? I don't want to hurt the wheel finish, any ideas?

Sounds like ya went to big -O tires. I'd go to a more higher end Tire shop recommended by your dealer, they'll have what you need for sure!

Geez, any competent shop with some goo gone or WD40 can get that stuff off. Pull the wheel, clean it and either sharpie the wheel weights or go to a different shop. Or go to Amazon and order some black wheel weights and replace them. http://amzn.to/1DsmbpI

Or bring them to your shop.

Black sharpie.

If you're so inclined, I've used black duct tape on my track wheels. The duct tape prevents the weights from flying off if the glue lets go or whatever and the black duct tape hides the color of the weights.

Just a thought.

So they are going to paint new weights black for me and clean all the wheels off for me Saturday no charge and they were sorry. I did go an hour before they closed to get everything done and it wasn't easy getting the fatty tires on and they had to drop the TPMS through my tires to make sure they don't break.
