F8x tiny brake pedal...

DCT - Who else finds the brake pedal to be:
1) too small
2) too far to the right

I'm a man, not a ballet dancer, so my legs don't clamp together like a vice to get my size 11 left foot over onto that saltine cracker-sized pedal for two-foot driving.

Any options? Lemme hear from ya...

It mimics the brake pedal of BMW Manual cars for the past 35+ years. Except with the DCT there is no clutch pedal....

I don't have a problem with it, i think those big clunky brake pedals are annoying because i end up only using 1/8th of it (as you can see the wear marks over time)

Haha, I noticed that too coming from a 328i automatic where the pedal was wider.
If you look under the dash where the pedal is you can see the cutout in the trim if there was a clutch pedal. So BMW basically just took a manual M3 or M4 car and took out the clutch pedal and everything else is in that area is the same, so no special pedal for the DCT that's wider like the regular automatic cars. Sometimes it feels like my foot isn't centered on it when I apply the brakes and I constantly readjust my foot.

The pedal on my 2007 Mini Cooper S is bigger and in a better position than my M4.

You need the smaller brake pedal to the right, so you can heel/toe--especially for DCT cars

That true because I do that a lot to trigger the slow speed assist when pulling in and out of garage and stuff.

You will get used to it. So much that after a while, when you drive a "normal car", you will find that the brake pedal of that "normal car" is:

1. Way too high
2. Too much spaced out from the gas pedal.

You will wish they would be like the M3/M4.

I have size 12s and have never had an issue with my DCT pedals. That said, I'm used to driving manuals cars so...

You guys prefer the pedals layout and spacing of a "normal car" ?

I actually really like BMW's pedals spacing and the fact there there's not like 3 inches height difference between the gas and break pedals.

I’ve just bought my 1st M4 and noticed the small brake pedal today!

Coming from a 440gc you notice it, mainly when sat at traffic lights, where I like to swap the foot I have on the break pedal. Assume there was no solution given to this thread?

I always find myself left foot braking with both my DCT M4 and my old DCT M3. I contemplated swapping an F30 auto brake pedal in since you cannot swap just the brake pedal pad out for the wider one. Too much effort because im lazy, so I have forgotten about that idea lol
