Clicking noise when turning steering wheel

Recently I noticed a clicking noise on my car whenever I turn my steering wheel in either directions. Has anyone else experienced this? I checked my suspension and for the life of me can't figure it out. Driving me insane.

Might be your strut mounts. Open your hood and put your hand on one while someone turns the wheels. If you feel the clicking it's a cooked strut mount.

for the guys who messed with their suspension, the strut pinch bolt needs to be tightened or replaced as it's one time use otherwise you'll get a clicking noise. try tightening that bolt to rule it out.

The pinch bolt is also directional, must be installed with bolt head towards front (Repair Manual says 'screw head facing direction of travel') and obviously nut goes on from rear, reversal was cause of clicking in my M2.

Torque is 56Nm

Had the clicking noises after installing my MPHAS kit, it WAS the pinch bolt. After retightening it, all noises disappeared.

Do you mind taking a picture of this bolt? I think I torqued it down but the clicking noise is still present.

The worst thing is today when checking out the car the driver's spring was out of place and nearly gave me a heart attack. Now I'm shopping for a complete coilover set

It’s the pinch bolt and the area it clamps. There’s a whole thread on it here. Search for it.

I fixed my car and it has been dead silent for month
