Lease assumption scam. Help!

Not all comes with it. A few of them don't have it but in this case I'm sure the seller swapped them out.

Something only someone who plans on pulling a fast one would say.
Lawyer up and sue, the amount of money on the table justifies legal action.
Chances are if he had the financial profile to lease an M4 CS (high income or assets) you probably have a decent shot of at least getting some kind of compensation.

Doesn't the previous leaser have to sign documents with BMWFS to verify they are transferring the original car when you swap?

I'm speechless!! As someone currently in the process of transferring my M3CS (still waiting if buyer was approved), I was shocked to read this thread! I couldn't imagine the horror you felt when you took delivery. I'm definitely interested to find out how/if BMWFS and/or SAL handles this situation. That's some premeditated intentions on seller. Hopefully the OP gets justice.

Hell, if you get your money back and removed from the lease assumption, keep an eye out on my SMB M3CS (unless you're only interested in M4) listing if still available:

I don't think it's brand related at all, I think due to the financial situation a vast majority of people currently find themselves in they cross the line in order to stay afloat.

Sure but I am not on any other brand's forum to know that. We can go back and forth about wise and unwise financial decisions but at the end of the day if this story holds water the original lessee(sp?) is a bonafide asshole and thief. In the meantime add this thread to the pile of Cornoa related doozy threads on bimmerpost.

I have no interest in discussing financial situations of people in X part of the world either, as it turns somewhat political of nature and I see no reason to go into it, I was simply generalizing why we find so many scammers during a trying time for many, as it seems most logical to me, but yes, as far as this one goes, the seller is clearly trying to maximize their own profit by committing crimes.

Headlights + tails is like at least 10k in parts.

Hopefully you get some legal recourse. You'd have to prove he showed different pics at the time of sale. Otherwise he'll just say the car was 'sold as is'.

I think there was an m3 posted here a while back at a CarMax where the owner had pulled out the original seats and put in 335 m sport ones before trade in.

Edit : just ran the VIN. It is a legit CS with lighting package.
